Free Hemp Wax Samples

Does it have to be brown?

I use white beeswax so it won’t darken my salves/balms

Would potentially replace with this if it worked the same and was a lighter color

That’s a great question Shattertramp!

We can refine it even further but at the moment we can’t do it at scale. It takes about a week to collected 250 grams of washed material.

I’d be willing to buy a few oz from you. Really need atleast a couple of oz to be able to formulate. My first thought is to produce chapsticks with it. I think it would be popular with the holistic, vegetarian type folks.

Do you have a COA on the wax for residual solvents specifically

We currently have a sample going out for 3rd party testing for potency, pesticides, and residual solvents. It usually takes about 5 business days to get the results. Once I have the results I’ll attached the COA to the original post for viewing.

We are developing a method to make the material whiter. We can do it in very small lab scale batches creating about 30 g a day, but we can’t do it at scale at the moment.

Thank you for your feedback!

Hello Wax Fans!

We got 3rd party results back and the finding were a lot different than what we expected. Here is a list of findings.

  1. CBD = 55%
  2. THC = 1.6%
  3. CBG = 0.43%
  4. CBC = 1.83%
    LOQ for all residual solvents
Failed: Ethoprophos 0.300 PPM. Action limit 0.200 PPM

How much?

WOW! That’s alot of cbd trapped in there… Like over half of it… and you’re giving it away?

Those are some crazy numbers. Man, there would be no need for me to infuse my products with CBD using your wax.

Exactly my words

Totally what I was thinking… You could probably use it straight away. Like, Homie has his already produced product. I wonder if it would work if I tried to use it as a rub? Maybe get a small piece of it to try?

Like YES!!! I will take EVERY single of piece of wax you want to send me!!!

Hello,

Per the Oregon Department of Agricultural the material has to be destroyed due to it being over the pesticide action limit.

We could introduce a filter step to remove pesticides to be able to sell this.

The big question is how much do you think a unique product like this worth?

A pesticide laden material that’s mainly wax with too much cbd to be considered waste?

Idk I wouldn’t pay too much for it…

If you can get the pesticides out the only thing that’s probably going to make the numbers guys happy is either free kilos from re winterization and recovery liked discussed above, or taking the material and formulating your own products with it to capture that sweet sweet retail margin

So would $250.00 a KG be out of the question?

It actually is structurally quite similar to beeswax. Many of the same exact alkanes.

On that note, just going to remind everyone this stuff would be extremely dangerous to inhale. Great for topicals and lotions with an emulsifier.

I would think so. You’d have to find someone already using it in some of their products and ask them how much is the novelty worth. I would imagine they get away with a pretty significant markup.

Organic beeswax maxes out at what, $10-20/lb?

Another thing could be using it at a 5-10% concentration to cut down a carrier oil and fill capsules to prevent leaking
(allowing for higher total cannabinoids than if you were to use beeswax to cut it)
But the market for people filling capsules by hand is not huge.
