Im learning on the fly
Well you must have a great chiller, which is the most expensive part needed to winterize at scale.
Have a freezer that goes ÷86c
Will definitely hurt your ability to scale but it’s still a good solution
Im trying to figure it out as i go i have fresh frozen im getting ready to process this week trial n error hopefully goes ok
Was that 5lb of extract?
How often?
We’re running a 600mm sambo for winterization. Filters a 5gal bucket in 5-10min depending on fat content in starting crude…not a strategy I would spec, but it is getting the job done. #2 bag filters did not seem to work much better, but I wasn’t involved in that project and am not 100% convinced…I’m a fan of using a fuge instead.
(Putting a couple hundred gallons through the sambo most days…on my list to solve. Membranes or fuge…)
Yes i think so ender up with around 3l of distilate after pope
I dont know what a fuge is and i searched it to
Fuge is short for centrifuge. People use em to make extracting with etoh more economical.
Right on thanks for that.
Check my avatar…sitting in one.
Ever been in 1 while it was on?
I did 720 in this one (unpowered), either right before or right after that pic.
I’ve ridden in the Best Economy Centrifuge - #48 by cyclopath on more than one occasion…
Cyclecide are the clowns that put a welder in my hands 25years ago.
I appreciate your input and everybody that helped me out thanks
That looks like the filter housing for the capna. Is that right?
Hi , do you mean use the filter to remove fats, grease?
I got that filter unit from glacier tanks for about $120.
Our customer also asked vacuum filter for this process

Adding filter paper on stainless steel funnel can filter fat, grease and so on. Can also be used to filter solid-liquid mixtures without filter paper
