Feeding dogs raw diet

Your never going to add a lot of weight by getting your dog in shape. Even with creatine and weight pulling your not going to see much increase in weight. But your dogs physique will change a lot.

I agree that dogs shouldn’t be bred solely to look yoked, should be bred for functional movement and drive. Malinois are a good example.

my dogs double coat hides her muscles. I just blew her off= image Just kidding Its a bad joke but again im lazy- its the first google pic of skinny dog. my dog did lose a garbage bag of hair and thats only the beginning of her shedding. My gsd sheds like CRAZY. My breeder has 3 in one house so it must be crazier. I can clean clean clean and theres still hair everywhere. My dog is sable= she looks black but the undercoat and all the shedding hair is white.
Sable is the dominant color in gsd genetics- alot the black and tan ones are not the best genetics. they turned black and tan into showline and showline went down from there- The original rin tin tin in the OLD movies was a war dog and was sable.

thiss dog is the best evver but she kicked my ass so i think ill get a little dog next time.

Extra Roosters=dog food

That’s how we do it. We half them then freeze. Makes it easy to toss to them on a hot day.

When I get land and have chickens. I plan on letting some hatch pseudo regular just for when the roosters make any noise, off with their heads and that’s groceries for the week. Hopefully one or two a week or so

We have been doing meat specific and egg specific

We are going to try adding some “all purpose” breeds, and see how the meat is on those. The meat on the egg chickens is so skimpy compared to the meat specific. It’s wild to see the difference

It’s the same with the heritage chickens, we just do the crosses for meat now. The turkeys are heritage, the ducks are alot of feed per lb of meat, and a pain in the ass to pluck.

I hate plucking feathers. No matter the bird

Get one of these…

Makes it easy as fuck. We just did 10, from slaughter to in the freezer in 1.5 hours, .5 hours of that was set up time. So on larger batches it’s a bit quicker

With the price of dog food right now it’s cheaper to feed fresh. My dogs kibble went up to $1.10/lb so now he’s getting $.79/lb chicken legs. By the time I pull out the bones it’s probably about the same price.

What did you pull out the bones for? As long as it’s raw the bones will digest just fine. Just no cooked bones, that’s my understanding at least.

I will even give my dogs the entire chicken carcass w/ wings, after we cut off the legs and breasts to fry. They love it.

I’ll let them have beef femurs and shins, but no chicken bones. They splinter too easily.

Raw and young chicken bones are quite soft and don’t splinter like cooked ones

my dog eats raw chicken all the time. dogs cant eat a beef femur. it may be a habit thing. she knows how to eat chicken, she breaks all the bones down before swallowing. maybe dogs not used to it may have issues by eating a large chicken bone without chewing it. imagine a dog in the wild- it eats birds and whatever and doesnt cook it. its fine to feed raw animals to dogs, but the femur can wear teeth out.
