you say run it through the closed loop. cant i place it in the collection and soak it and not necessarily run it through? and then do what to prevent it again? Im not sure if its an issue, its diamonds and sauce I think? Im not a instagram type who needs big diamonds.

If you pot off the terp fraction you can recrystalize in pentane! Maybe just try it with half if you’re worried about it but that would give you diamonds
The gas is what’s causing the new shape crystals(longer shit like rice but much smaller, instead of bigger crystals with facets and shit!

I showed it at a cannifest and nobody said- oh no its ruined- they all just drooled. Some oklahoma guys were like- you have that tech? thet had rosin. I was like ? it was a mistake I guess I have the tech.

Yeah… Tbh diamonds and shatter are kinda the worst for dabbing.
I suppose it verifies purity; but if the goods are all there, I much prefer some applesauce or resin or whatever.

mine hasnt turnt chalky but is sugar
I ran some straight trash material that was full of fan leaves to see what happened. Ran it un chilled to but passed it all threw my crc to clean it up. Ended up looking decent but had kind of a chlorophyl ish taste . Figures I’d try to make diamons out of it before I tossed it into the edibles pile. Sat in the jar at a thin syrup texture for about a week, then released some pressure and let it sit at a thick syrup texture ( bho as solvent) for about a week. I could see a very small cloud form for a little while wile it was thinking syrup, but not even any sugar formed. When I reduced it to a thick syrup the cloudy spots went away but still not even any sugar. Assuming the lack of chrystalization is from the low thc content and high fat content?
There’s a ton of variables that could cause it honestly. I would say you didn’t have enough solvent. Could be completely wrong, but that’s my assessment from the description

There’s your problem. Try butane…
Warm solvent and low initial potency mean you’re probably in the 50% TAC range. Which will definitely make it harder to drop THCa.
Winterizing, then back into a hydrocarbon would probably succeed.

Thin honey, to honey consistency. But it also has to be saturated, and given your explanation of extraction material it might not of had enough thca to crash out given the solvent ratio.
