Thank you @Killa12345 I searched for this stuff on here and came up dry. At least they aren’t TT. WF is approved for distribution than it had to pass testing butvhere comes the kicker. If this passed and is not good for vaping consumption than what good are our testing. I wonder if they have a guideline for products that are banned to be vaped or one for safe consumption. Bc if they don’t have one than technically speaking they are cleared.
What are bm carts, i just got back from the east coast and the china knockoffs are everwhere. Its sad if it has packaging its good in the eye of the consumer
bm = black market
@Juice311 my fault man.
It’s sad that carts are an epidemic now. Just gotta know your manufacturer & see the tests. Make sure you can build a good relationship with whomever you deal with. No one likes being back doored.
Yeah I heard about methamphetamine and heroin being put in vape juice before cartridges were even a thing.
And the CBD carts on the market are retarded and all cut to shit. Need to mass produce something decent that inhibits re-crystallization, like the phenolate salt perhaps.
Let’s not forget, a vast majority of carts, especially chinese ones, are assembled, lubricated, and tested with PEG. Which means when the consumer takes the first 2-5 hits, they’re vaping PEG.
you can buy carts and ask for them not to be prewetted. And i think this is an old practice but i did get some nasty tasting carts from the cbdexpo down here the other week
Sure, I’m under the impression though, that most people don’t know that, and the consumer certainly doesn’t even know to ask. I guarantee, even if they did, the budtender wouldn’t have a clue.
It’s definitely a practice that still happens. Every single sample that’s given to us is prewetted (even if we specify it not be.)
No more test with PEG or any other liquid.
I know carts or disposables with cotton wick test with PEG in the previous years. But now not.
I’m 100% sure you’re incorrect about this.
If anyone is unsure, take one of your empty carts and smoke it, that vapor isn’t magic.
Or, to be on the safe side, blow into it through the inlet holes. My company has went through dozens and dozens of cart manufacturers. Everything from Juul style to disposables with the battery attached. When you blow through it, vapor comes out. When we ask the manufacturer why this happens, they say it’s because of the lubricant. When we ask what that is, we hear anything from PG, PEG, or “nothing to worry about” which is an obvious lie.
If anyone can disprove this somehow, I’d love to know why these people are lying to us.
Sorry. I’m 100% confident that we definitely not use any oil/liquid test on our carts whatever samples or mass production. All test by resistance tester and other testers to prove the resistant range is in standard and it works with batteries.
Currently, Rare manufacturers using PEG/PG test before shipping. But I believe still a few existing
Sorry to hear your bad experience:joy:
I’d love to hear the price point on your carts, feel free to send me a DM.
I’m not saying it’s impossible to find carts with nothing in them, just that a vast majority do, and some type of regulation to ensure there isn’t would be ideal. Once again, the consumers don’t even understand that this is a potential issue.
That vapor you’re referring to is what happens when a coil gets hot, or a wick literally burns.
I’ve made hand made coils not even wet that do the same shit. It’s a oxidization vapor.
This isn’t good either. These wicks are not meant to be dry fired
No wick is. I’d say cotton is your safer bet though if it does tend to happen compared to a silica wick. If you try to get a bud tender to give you a non prewet cart as well I’d laugh my ass off cause of course they don’t know what you’re talking about they’re a bud tender. Only only who knows that shit is gonna be someone who directly deals with the manufacturer or the product filler.
This is absolutely a disgusting market (for those doing the dirty)…
As being #1 forum source with processors/cultivators what can be done?
What would be a first step in the right direction?
**Its good to be a your own processor…
People smoking glue and not knowing, god damn.![]()
Why does it only happen on the first 2-5 puffs on the equipment we test? If what you’re saying is true, wouldn’t it just keep doing that until the coil burnt out?
Even then, can anyone prove whatever this stuff is doesn’t end up in the lungs of the consumer? I find it hard to believe whatever it is wouldn’t vaporize just because the element is wet with distillate. This has always been my argument against carts, I’m fully confident this is also the reason people sneeze and or get sinus irritation from carts, especially the first 2-5 hits. Whereas, when the same exact product is vaporized in a nail, this irritation/sneezing does not occur.
Only happens within that time frame due to the amount of oxidation happening on the coil or the wrap. You can only oxidize it so much before it stops letting off that steam. Jut like making coils you heat them so they form tightly. While doing so you’ll see this vapor. With a wick there is the possibility of moisture content. Just do to the atmospheres the cart may have gone through from not being acclimated correctly, cold temp into hot temp.
Irritation & sneezing can also be due to terpenes, high myrcene strains leave a peppery feeling so you will get those tingles or irritation on how you can handle it & possibly sneeze…
