Exotic Strains

Say we cross it with a high cbg strain given (CBGA) technically is the sugar of the plant being mother cannabanoid.

Continue to breed it till thc is loq & have crazy cbg strain

I have a cheese that tests at 1.75% cbga. I know this strain to be a land race from the 70’s

What’s a high test of cbga look like?

That’s awesome, I didn’t know it had that…

 so excited for you to finish that.

That’d be freaking awesome, I’d qualify that as an exotic strain fer sure.

The highest I’ve seen shown on a coa was maybe 3-4.5ish % tops cbga, but even then it’s was just very fresh cut cbg flower. With like 7%thc so it just wasn’t something that could be dead end market/extraction worthy. I think if someone were to Bx the strain after 2 runs with a goo male they would be onto a very good chance of having the over active sugar uptake during photo cycle that the cbg strain they produce could leave a footprint to bring cbg passed the low 20’s tac

The sugar blobs are produced by a process called guttation. I’m pretty sure they don’t develop into cannabinoids, but are just an excretion. Once the drops have been excreted, the plant won’t be able to access them any more, so won’t be able to metabolize them into anything else.

On a different note, if a plant has enough excess sugars to produce these drops, I would assume that the plant’s brix levels are quite high. High brix levels = healthy, happy plants.

The sugar drops taste bomb as hell when you eat em, but not so much when smoked. The one plant that I had with guttation tasted like burnt hair when smoked, but tasted just fine in the vaporizer. It’s a cool novelty, but makes for a sticky mess when trimming. Would probably be cool to use a strain like that for sweet tasting edibles though.

I still have a nug with a couple big drops sitting in a clear jar to show off from time to time.

Would that be that dog weed? That’s what we called it here

There was the ‘Ghani’ ‘skunk’ and dogweed from around here, dog weed being the gnarliest, I’m assuming it was the old chem.

I think gas always wins on the east coast. Wonder why? The weather?

That looks pretty trippy! That’s pretty clear compared to the few I’ve seen. Mine were more amber. Looks neat with the purple streaks and little globs on the surface.
