What is the trick to convert up to 90% with phosphoric acid?
Not to do it in air?
Dehydration of chemicals?
Other processes of reaction?
I neutralized it with sodium bicarbonate solution.
I could see two beautiful layers.
I will now wash it.

Make sure you shake it a lot. We used to sit it and let it stir hard for 15-30 minutes per wash

I got heptane.
I saw @Roguelab post that he can get 93% D9 from a reaction using heptane and phosphoric acid.
Would love to try this, but don’t know the reflux time and the amount of acid…
My experience is that the acid is about 40% of the CBD weight, and heptane:CBD is 1:1
What’s the reflux time?
Should I still perform the reaction under CO2 or other conditions?
Listen this is the worse rxn to do as a amateur
The drying is tedious and complex
Molecular sieves are needed that do not disintegrate in a phosforic acid solution
And all and everything has to be dry DRY
H2so4 trap on the argon line
The most important factor other than dry is mixing speed overhead stirring at a minimum of 1200 rpm for the phosforic does not mix with the alkane /tolueen and sturing speed is reaction speed
40% dry pfosforic to cbd is a good ratio
Solvent I use 3 liters to the kg
Molecular sieves 400 gr to the kg
Temperature 65-70 C
Time 5 hours approx
Quench ice cold bicarbonate water
Don t start if you can t sell the D8 mistakes
Cause there will be plenty
