Everything worked great before we unplugged and cleaned. Been sitting for over a year now.
My buddy added B&W gear pumps, bought new chillers. In great running shape. has been unplugged and cleaned. No video, sry
that thing is worth 20k tops. You can literely get it brand new shipped directly from YHCHEM or TOPTION for 45k delivered with heaters, chillers, diffusion and gear pumps lol

Thanks for your input, my buddy put alot into it. This is the price hes asking. Comes with fluids, new gear pumps, lightly used chillers and heaters
Did you miss the part where you can buy this brand spanking new for $45,000?
so how do the tweaker and wrench gear pumps attach to the gear pumps on the system currently ? why would someone need the additional tweaker and wrench pumps and how do those add any kinda value to a used system ?
IF you havnt looked around anything used is barley getting half of retail so not sure why your “buddy” would even assume its fair to even offer it at that price especially when you cant even proove it runs and distills?
does that tweaker and wrench pump pull vacuum to the levels you are advertsing? wheres the difusion pump? Is 1 year old transfer fluid even worth anything?

$55k is a little too hopeful, and probably why this isn’t moving. I have a quote for this exact device, with all utilities from YHCHEM for $73k from July 2023. I reckon you’re looking at <$40k, possibly less than $30k. It’s unavoidable that resale on process equipment is <50% unless it’s like…german engineering in showroom condition. Even if the thing was unused and still in a crate, recouping 75% value would be a home run. It’s a hard pill to swallow, but with used equipment your buddy is going to lose even more money trying to hold onto it longer and longer.

I used to use one of these. It worked pretty well if the crude was purged. Doing a first pass on this machine was not fun if the crude was not purged. Other things I didn’t like were keeping the outputs from overfilling, since you could not see crude coming in and once you filled the sight glasses it wasn’t long until the system became flooded (The machine is pretty fast). There was a lot of running back and forth or working in a team of two between the sight glasses and the controllers. I also did not like how some of the pipes were hot, but not insulated. I also did not like how they used glass flasks to collect your volatiles, which would warm up in the glass flasks and put gas back into the system. I also noticed that the potencies of the distillate made by this was about 10% lower than other pieces of equipment for the same number of passes using the same crude inputs. I think it is really good if you want to produce a lot of crystal resistant distillate, but I would protest if my employer bought one of these and told me to run one of these again.
