Can confirm the flooding issue. Flooding distillate is not so bad, but when you flood the body with residue… god help you. You’ll be cleaning for hours on end.
Can also confirm the bit about hot piping. Have burns all over my arms/hands from accidentally touching un-insulated bits while working on the gear pumps.
Discharge lines work pretty good if you just throw a jacketed check valve on there.
Once you get a feel for the machine/the material you’re running you can get a pretty good idea of when things are clogging up.
