I say just hit em with the imidacloprid NOW. Dunno what red tail is but bt is more for preventative your past that point. Use the fruit and tree right now. Buy that 4f for future next time your there.
Yea Iām not depending on the BT for major help⦠just something to zap the flying fuckers that land. I have the concentrate and itās cheap. I may indeed immediately treat with the imidacloprid.
The 4f What is rather expensive but seems like itās probably way more potent. For now this is what I ended up with so at least I feel like Iām doing something. Going to put that fruit tree drench on it this evening
This is their only recommendation on dosage which can be a little confusing. Any suggestion on deciphering that? Or is the1/2 oz per quart the dosage and just drench away. I get a little lost when they start mentioning acreage and or square footage of bedding.
By the way, thank you all so much for caring and Input. I means a lot. And just know while Iām spewing off stupidity here, I am doing all the research I can on products etc. no silver spoon here, you guys are just a great help
What stage are you in? I was able to beat a russet infestation with suff-x in late veg, so there is still hope! I imagine root aphids are different but there has to be a way.
Best way to apply any ipm on outdoor large plants.
I am very early in veg⦠these are outdoor full term. And I do have a good atomizer for the spraying. Bio works makes the product you suggested, Iām going to grab their botanigard maxx online, but wanted to start treating today
nematodes are awesome. they will be effective against a litany of root based pests. you could also use a product called diatomaceous earth that also is effective against root aphids. thereās a product called botanigard 22wp that works its a bacteria that will kill the aphids, id suggest using the botanigard at a curative dosage twice a week for a month followed by nematodes and diatomaceous earth until the aphids are no longer present. for any flyers id suggest suffoilx and vegol as a foliar application.
now im scared to bring in soil. i started liking ff strawberry fields but may just stick with dry coco dricks, they dont bring in bugs. ive had no issues with that ff but if i did bring in bugs it would stink.
I wish I had any idea exactly where they came from⦠bulk bagged soil like that is definitely a vector for sure. I began treatment today with a drench of redtail, BT, and a light dose of pondzyme to help clean up an residue those fucks leave behind on the roots. To be followed up with a drench of imidacloprid, another redtail bt cocktail, and finally hoping to order some
Botanigard maxx asap
everone on here give me a hard time= I would chop them. thats just because of my recent issues I dont even fuck around. I had aphids for over 1 year and it made everything crappy that it touched. nursing it to harvest is lame.mine were regular but kept coming back because i didnt know they were in a tree that I place the plants under on occasion. Id chop em zap the tent a few times with bleach or h202 then order new clones and lose 1 month and have DANK bud instead of battling the borg. Ive heard root aphids are BAD, get that soil out your house asap. I also recently strated using a spider chemical. its not for a garden, its for corners of the house, and the yard. Im not into chems but the spiders were insane eating all the aphids.that will help with bugs coming from outside. i treated the tree with a systemic. the yard with the bug shit and hopefully the recent hemp legalization doesnt make more issues for me this year. I think there is a plan like that= they have a bug resistant thing and spread bugs to knock out all competition.
While I definitely understand the idea of scrapping the plants and soil, and donāt even disagree, itās not really an option. As new as I am to this being my second solo season, the scale of things isnāt exactly a closet tent grow. Iām treating aggressively and will keep on treating. Iāll keep this updated. I treated with the red tail and currently researching the fruit and tree drench with imidacloprid to see how safe it would be to dunk the root balls in a bucket before transplant. Since the red tail treatment yesterday a lot of these fuckers are dead that I can see. The label for the imidacloprid suggests 1/2 oz per quart of water = 2 oz per gallon
Going to do a test dunk with they really problematic plant I found and see the results
Outdoors⦠but I am implementing a regiment of ipm, as i should. But as we know, being outdoors in southern oregon, is what it is. Iām fully dunking the roots in imidacloprid as I transplant, gonna let the soil dry up a bit and rotate the redtail and imidacloprid for the next bunch of watering. Turning back/starting over isnāt an option so I can only be attentive and aggressive and hope for the best
hopefully they dont find out that shits bad like they do with most chems. I used spinosad and still see thrip damage bu cant find a single thrip for weeks. I use a usb microscope
