Those are root aphids
Throw out all your small plants
Get ant traps everywhere
You can use pfr 97 as an ipm to prevent but when it comes to treating botaniguard maxi works good and isn’t something nasty you wouldn’t want to consume.

This will work but it won’t pass testing.
There are better options than imid
I agree the plants are small, kill it. order 1000 clones. they look to be in 5.25 pots? but then itll sux if he still gets them. Good luck and research those chems, i havent but they sound chemmy to me. i dont smoke that shit.
Imidacloprid? | Rollitup its not so safe to smoke prolly
Botanigard maxx was the most interesting product for my issue but they do not suggest drenching as the oils can damage the roots so I’m not sure how I can apply it to root zone. I’m gonna give the company a call
This.
Botaniguard 22 wp is the root drenchable product. I don’t know if this is product that will be tested, but if pyrethrins are an option that won’t fail you, add a pyrethrin product like Pyganic to the drench.
There are many systemic igr’s that are approved for many food crops. I know a lot of them make there way into sizable “legal” operators’ grows and they work.
Fucks up flyers, crawlers, suckers, borers etc. (Only use in areas humans or pets do not sleep or stay in)
Hang a few of these in there 3 days on 3 days off.
Edit: active ingredient is Dichlorvos
I guess I should update this for future searchers…
When I first posted this, almost all my plants had root aphids… and I choose not to disclose how many plants, but this wasn’t a living room tent grow as some would assume. I got very aggressive with my treatment and can say, at this point in the game, I’ve defeated the enemy and haven’t had any signs of them coming back to attack. Outdoor plants are hitting 10 feet already and my greenhouses are blown out in health.
Since I caught this before I did all my transplants, all the plants were in 1 gallon pots and easier to treat than being in 100 gallon pots. I did a root drench with pyganic, and by the next day could not find a living aphid. I followed up with a botanigard root drench, and then applied sns 209 for the next 5 waterings. I also use a highly concentrated BT product. 2+
Months later, I have huge plants showing no major issues. I can’t guarantee that at some point they are just building their army to destroy me, but again, as of now, 2 months later, things are looking great.
Sometimes “burning it all down” is not an option… and while I’m not saying that’s not good advice, I just want someone in the future to know it’s not impossible. Just have to stay on top of it. So, there’s that
Dang! Lookin good!
Good to hear the pyganic/botaniguard combo works
Make sure to get rid of any ants you see. They are a vector for infestation
One soaking with pyGanic killed the fuck out of them. I was just fortunate that I caught it before I transplanted because it’s way easier to treat 1 gallon pots, otherwise it would be crazy expensive and saturating all your soil would be a bitch. Some of the plants were very heavily infested but almost all of them had some signs so eradicating all of them was definitely intimidating especially reading most people tell me to burn everything down and start again. Hopefully this will just serve as a little inspiration for anyone wanting to jump off a bridge because of aphids one day.
Thank you for the update @Eastcoaststrange, and I’m happy to hear the good news. Things are looking great! It’s always good to hear success stories like yours to keep us inspired to keep on keepin on.
Make sure to wear PPE so you dont ingest the compound that you are trying to kill the bugs with
dude- im dead/ I have used pyganic in my kitchen sink and then i prolly ate it.
