Did you guys try full ceramic carts?

So like I’ve said before in many posts…I’m a redneck. I run n butane, acetone and dry ice cold, and indoor flower i grow is my biomass. The result is a snap/pull that is sticky as fuck. I decarb it, and run it in my personal carts. Its always worked with 4x2.0mm carts.

I totally am a knuckle dagger when it comes to vape cart abuse. I will push the durability of any product…just my nature. But as a machinist finding the breaking point and backing off a notch is just my style…

Would you pay two to three times as much for a american made cart that could survive these encounters?

I would. But I’m a machinist. I buy expensive tools. I buy the best I can if it’s something i use regularly. I puff these carts, I make at home, every day, and see no end in sight. So yes, qma, I would pay more for a US made cart that was higher quality, and able to handle my daily abuse.

I wouldn’t. I just remove the oil and put it in another one. My failure is pretty good unless I mess them up.

I mean you could just buy a coil and machine your own tank :joy::rofl:

This is about as good as they get with tanks. true stainless, and multiple coil types

Cut 50% with c8 and you won’t kill yourself with the dab rips you will be forced to take with a coil that size.

Problem with those…is I’m an all day puffer. I cant sneak a toke with that shit while machining is a secure facility. Cant be blowing fat clouds where I’m at lol.

I have often thought about those tanks as everyone at work vapes the nicotine e juice. I just never liked the idea of cutting it down to work in those.

I literally dont keep up with vape technology what so ever. I bought the yocan uni because I was afraid my 4 year old eleaf 40w mod would have to die some day. I dropped it last week on concrete. It made a sound…the sound that small electronics make when they die. It didnt give a fuck…but it’s got to die one day. So I went by a vape shop and saw the yocan uni. I still use hive 2.0 atomizers because they are so damn cheap, and I make a CBD shatter with ACDC that cant go in a cart. So the uni was an easy choice.

Delta 8 and vape flavoring concentrates sound like the answer to your demands

Your pretty spot on there…

I’ve asked to buy a small amount if d8 in a few threads. All I got was a guy pushing vape cartridges. I’d like to try some d8 distillate before I attempt my own. I’ve got a small spd pieced together and have nearly a kilo of cbd crude, so I’m ready to play…I just need to get some first hand experience with d8 before I try distilling it.

I dont trust the yocan batteries. The old batteries used to smoke and explode sometimes…heard a couple stories.

You have to make sure your not buying chinese clone yocans or the deal things from an authorized dealer.

Seen a lot of problems with yocan counterfeits…not so much with the real deal ones

Just had a battery catch my shirt pocket on fire while driving yesterday. Haven’t gotten into the batteries all that heavy yet. After catching on fire I reckon I’ll be gettin right on that!

I have ran thru most of the Chinese batteries you find on Alibaba or DHgate. So.far the two that have had the best quality are the imini and the storm. @qma has an imini and @Killa12345 has a storm they are currently using.

1 reported break
My 500 came in today

This is the reason I was eluding to screw on tops. If you break the cart or it stops firing you can recover the oil. @Ascent

So far 3 of 60 of mine were no good. I think dred also has a few from the 100 I bought that went bad

It’s still on par with my ccell knockoffs fail/break/leak rate. As of now.

so the metal base is separating from the ceramic core/post? has this happened on anyones 1ml carts too?

None on the 1ml other than filling breaks.

I think the problem the .5s have is the glue used to hold the bottom

I thought ascent said no glue. Or was that the A or B guy having the day off joke.

He drew arrows pointing to where the glue is. On the outside of the chamber, under the silicone that seals the reservoir

I think I broke a couple from being rough, which was my fault for trying to fill them to the brim and one or two dropping. Had one go out partially through (the lead got pushed up and wasn’t making contact anymore). And one 1ml crack, but still works.
