Hopefully it was just some batches/lots and the issue got fixed. Now I’m thinking they had to use another solvent, to cut the butane just to make up for losses at a particular time that the suppliers had to spend more.
But who knows, that N2 theory is interesting. But I don’t know, I still think it’s the solvent.

looks like we had a brief period of higher gas imports coming from Canada/lull in US gas around February

I like companies too, but I don’t pat them on the back when they could be responsible for product and labor losses.

Send that one back to investigate and request it tested by their team that’s advertising they test.
It’s clearly supply chain probably bought dirt cheap dirty gas and kicked it down with shitty coas.
Like our industry does sometimes sadly.

Thing is the tank used has been swapped already since I didn’t know about the chalky diamonds till days after I got a new order in. But for sure I’m not staying quiet about it, not defending them either. I don’t make diamonds with butane jar tek normally so I haven’t had any issues with any other products in terms of coas nothing that shouldn’t be there has popped up on cannabinoids. But for sure I’ll keep adding any findings to the discussion.

So far I’ve read jar tek and miners as well but the one factor is butane. I normally just reX so I haven’t had any issues there.

I don’t know if it resolves the concern, but my reX diamonds do not chalk up.
And yeah that’d be sick, you an Willy should do a butane jar tek batch see what you get. I’m guessing y’all haven’t encountered this issue yet.

This has been the solution. I just don’t like having to use pentane when for years it was not needed. I want to be able to use butane and make single solvent big rocks again.
So there are 2 solutions to chalky rocks if your using diversified gas. 1. Crash your jars at temps above 84deg f. This seems to cause what ever is making the chalk to stay in the terps or possibly offgas before getting trapped in the lattice.
Solution 2 is just fast crash everything then seperate Terps and rx the thca in pentane. Butane rx has not worked as for what ever reason butane won’t redisolve the thca.

You boiling the butane with the thca in it to try to dissolve ? Just change your jacket in the column or vessel with thca to a little warm, rather than the cold for normal runs.
