Delta 8/intoxicating hemp regulatory and enforcement actions/news

Wow @pdxcanna and @SubstituteCreature . This is all really timely and on the nose. I was really looking forward to meeting Max Jackson face to face at the Virginia Cannabis Control Authority meeting in Richmond the other week, so that I could ask him why he thought it would be such a good idea to grant licensing to farmers and then delay sales by months or years, which would be detrimental to the smaller farmers by increasing their holding costs through the roof. Especially since this is who he claims to be fighting for. Sounds to me like he’s a paid mouth piece for the MSOs, or he’s really just ignorant to the way the industry moves, which circles back to “who is this guy and why is anyone listening to him?”

I do as well. We’ll really just have to see how it pans out. It feels like they want this market to execute so perfectly, they are forgetting that at a certain point, you just have to jump and figure out the landing mid air.

First attorneys to be charged in connection to intoxicating hemp/thca?

all i see in that pic are 70h products

DEA establishes specific listing for HHC in Schedule I: https://public-inspection.federalregister.gov/2026-08595.pdf?utm_campaign=pi+subscription+mailing+list&utm_medium=email&utm_source=federalregister.gov

In its “Regulatory Analysis,” DEA also clarified that “tetrahydrocannabinols produced through chemical conversion, even when hemp derived are considered synthetically produced for purposes of the CSA, do not qualify as “tetrahydrocannabinols in hemp” under the AIA.”
