Dabtabs? Anybody use em?

That’s a good way to explain it.

They might have given away what it is made from in their marketing material:

“NSF/ASTM 61 as a media pure enough to be used in drinking water filtration.”

What type of ceramic would that be? Artsy friend says its kaolin used to make porcelain.

Would be a waste bc a cart is essentially a ceramic coil burning oil already

You can use alumina ceramic or pretty much anything that can be used for drinking water filtration . The porcelain breaks easier

I think I know what my first TEK is going to be

I wouldn’t be too worried about it- it’s a single use item. I’m having a bunch of prototypes made up.

I tried them about a year ago in the PDX area when they first came out, they were not my favorite personally. The idea is cool but the taste was horrendous.

I have been very interested in these, too. I am constantly dealing with distillate cartridges that leak or clog, but I love the portability of a vape. I was in my favorite Maine dispensary and I saw an interesting product, Dab Tabs GO, a 510 thread cartridge that you drop your Dab Tab into!
I bought it along with a starter pack of 3 Dab Tabs for around $25 USD. I figured it wouldn’t be a total loss if the product turned out to be crap.
Be forewarned, this method comes with a bit of a learning curve, and DabTabs are not designed for repeated use like a standard vape cart is, so a novice might struggle to find efficiency in use. Once you get the process down, though, you’ll realize you can get a pretty decent dab on the fly.!
With regard to preserving the terps, or having amazing flavor, at lower temps, while they are still new and fresh, absolutely. However, it would only be fair to say that my most, “dab-like” experiences took place using higher temp settings and at that point, it would seem as though most of the significant terpene flavors were lost.

I feel hopeful about the future of Dab Tabs. Now that I have dipped my toe into this “new-to-me” technology, I am definitely looking forward to putting Dab Tabs through some more rigorous testing!

Tried these in Michigan not a fan. Need like 3 to equal one normal dab.

Blue Sky Labs in Maine advertise these and I have been impressed with their other products.

If anyone does these “right” I would expect it to be them.

I haven’t tried them yet though…

Hello, Mr dab tab shill

I hate dab tabs… not for me… good for someone just not me

I don’t understand why someone that wants that minimal of a dose wouldn’t just vape flower. Concentrates are meant for people with tolerances, or with conditions that require a large dose that isn’t sensible to meter with dry flower.

My 2¢

They didn’t go over very well up in Alaska. People were trying to just get rid of them at cost, and still couldn’t sell them. I forget which vape device it is, but they built a mod just for those also

:nauseated_face::face_vomiting:

Stick to traditional dabbing

I could’ve sworn they were here in Massachusetts at one point.

Imo I like dabbing because it’s quick, effective and lasts a long time. It takes a lot of work to smoke flower sometimes.

But I’ve been on a break from making and taking dabs and it’s been going well. I guess I’m spending money on upgrades and stuff for next year. I’m also gonna start growing a few autos at some point too.

It’s been pretty sick having a low tolerance for flower again. I can get to my desired effect in like 4 Bong rips. But I can’t say I don’t miss dabbing.

The flavor was like a dry vut tasty hash. Would have been happier if there was more vapor production.

Welcome to the future @Glenn_Charlsen!
