I think the job of the government should be to provide the tools so that we can all live healthy productive lives
To me, that means regulating production of most goods(to an extent). I don’t want some Upton Sinclair-esque factories pumping out trash for others to unknowingly consume. There needs to be clear, enforceable standards for anyone who wants to do something commercially
Gatekeeping licenses and the like is a separate issue

I’m not going to disagree with anything you said here. It’s just hard when companies misrepresent a viscosity product as “scentless terpenes” and that ends up not being the case.

Can you believe that there’s is probably a ghost offender somewhere on here who is prob responsible for slinging carts to the east coast and either harming or hospitalizing someone or even engaged in god forbid lethal products during the vape cart crisis, and still hanging out here. No charges. Nothing. Because nobody know about them or their nefarious acts.

It’s probably true because of the nature of a grey market. The first year for the farm bill people were growing straight drug type cannabis under hemp licenses here. Fortunately, in grey markets like the MI medical scene, it tends to be pretty self-regulating once people are aware.

I just don’t understand why there wasn’t more pure cannabis derived terpenes going around. Surely there could’ve been more growers interested in capturing their crops flavors or just more people interested in naturally derived terpenes in general.
I remember pre vape-gate, how my brother was getting carts from the dispensary. His favorite at the time was blueberry flavored. I kept telling him they cut those carts way too much and are using some kind of commercial terpenes because it tasted like candy and it didn’t seem right.
Like too sweet,Ike someone used a sweetener.
