If you get the chance, drive south into Nelson Co and go up to Crabtree Falls. One of, if not the tallest waterfall on the east coast. Easy hike up. Beautiful scenery.

So…anyone in VA looking for a part-time/bi-coastal rocket surgeon?

Running a Luna is not a requirement, but if you’re not open to automation then chances are we’re not gonna be compatible long term.

Visited with this big guy (father to my pyr mix)

Then on the way out had to stop to let a juvenile black bear cross the road.

Bear looked to be almost twice the weight of the bear scaring dog…

Shenandoah Ridge Parkway, Drive is amazing in the fall

It’s like 20 minutes from Charlottesville lots of hiking and connections to the Appalachian Trail near Afton mountain
Beautiful hiking around this time

There was a local family here in Rappahannock that had been poaching bears for years…when that was put to an end the bear population soared!
