Agreed it depends on how you lab was set up really
“chromatography” in the CRC column can be pretty fun. I like to load my columns with ungodly amounts of silica, and some other fun stuff. You can get some really fun fractions, and you can always wash your goodies out of the media with a polar solvent if you need.
Where are you?
I would winterize the goop. Probably a lot of thc in there depending on your saturation when placing on dry ice as well as the duration it sat on dry ice
The dry ice separates the goop the buchner funnel filters it. It needs to be in a liquid state to process
I understand the entirety of the process. I was doing that 10 years ago. I also got a lab test on the fats about 4 years ago that show 60%thc
We just discard the goop not really useful
Might be useful on topical products.
Hard to know just what to do with it, we sometimes just throw it on the wood stove mostly in it.
It’s hard to purge
You throw this away?
No he described a butane dewaxing process above
How the hell do I learn about decanting hte
It would be beneficial to have a use for it, the reality though of the markets" especially these days" is that it just becomes more product with no real landing zone, it’s true that it could work for some kind of cream, dog biscuits, incense, even edibles. If we were in some city there be could be more avenues, in the country even clean stuff if it’s a little sticky sits around then becomes a gift for for a friend.
Let me know next time you need a friend
There are ways to further clean, and ultimately make good consumer products from what you’re pulling off with that method. I don’t even have to see it to know you shouldn’t be tossing it.
The clean stuff goes for 6 bucks a g anything else isn’t worth the effort.
Yes there definitely still is cannabinoid weight within those waxes like your test confirmed. I used to redissolve the waxes in clean ethanol 10:1 ratio, apply slight heat and magnetic stir bar for two hours then re winterize and distill seemed to pull about half out of the waxes.
this does make sense, we haven’t gone that far with it, we figured it was what we wanted to remove and had no real use. we were psyched just to discover the dry ice buchner funnel cleanse, it made everything work. before the funnel we use to just pour off the clear material on top then purge the rest into a wax. Now with the funnel we figured there wasn’t anything left in there worth anything.
After seeing Oregon bulk shatter prices I do t see how this is a profitable venture even with free trim and scale
Know a dude still getting close to 2k for sugar in bulk and he gets basically free trim from massive grows and it pencils out for him
What’s the lowest prices can go in BM before most of the big guys just stop.
