No why does it matter ? I clearly stated I bought some at the club and I’ve smoked it … I have an opinion about the taste. (Isnt that what this thread is about)

@Distillforeal crc is going to replace most things in the market in the next 2-5 years. When you want to drink wine do you drink stuff that hasn’t been properly cleaned and filtered, most likely you drink wine that has been through the proper steps and procedures to clean it up. The processes for cleaning wine is very similar to us using crc. Crc is a refinement technique to offer the cleanest product for the consumer. With crc being new and everyone trying to jump in on the bandwagon you are going to have various qualities of product as their procedures are fine tuned. As for funny tasting products i think can mostly be attributed to not dewaxing and just bleaching the fats and lipids and also more of the fragment and Voltile terps evaporate off. Leaving behind more heavier harsher tasting terps.

If crc is the future why dont clubs carry crc products anymore. 9 months ago it was in the stores now. Practically no store sells crc in norcal.

How are you determining that?
Using less media removes less color. One can CRC to a light amber rather than white or clear.
Unless you’re seeing “no CRC” on the labels, it’s not clear to me how you can tell appropriately CRC’ed material from any other production method.

Crc is the new vitamin e. And the stores dont want the liability. You guys want silica residue in your dabs? Idk about yall but back in the day when I would pack a bunchner funnel with clay and wash it with ethanol the ethanol would come out hazy even though it passes through a 1 micron paper. These absorbent leach residue yet VERY RARLY IS IT MENTIONED
Sure and the SOP for setting up that bed correctly stipulates recirculating till the solvent runs clear.
So all you stated here is that back in the day you did it wrong.
Edit: I did go check out weedmaps, and disagree with your characterization. I only looked at one NorCal location, and I did see a lot of products that might not have been run over a CRC…along with those that had likely been “touched up” with magic dirt.

all the concentrates i have now are fire and all crc. Im good. Ill take all the fire crc here. Buying fire crc from $6-20 a gram.

That’s why most are using a .2 um filter. Keep in mind that .22um syringe filters are capable of filtering out viruses. There is nothing getting through that would have any real impact on your health. Ambient air has approximately 3 million .3 I’m particles per cubic meter per minute. PSA: some of that is dirt

All over Oregon too but the quality varies. Dirty arm is the most consistent in Oregon. Like I said the bad tasting stuff can probably be attributed to not properly dewaxing or to many heavier terpenes and not many of the lighter more fragrant terps. Crc is pretty much in R/D and everyone is trying to dial it. The people that suck at it will end up dropping out of the market, figure out how to do it properly, or hire consult

All our cooking oil and edible oils you see in the stores are crc…sure theres some products out there that came from shitty material but not all crc is bad

My buddy’s in that industry and you are 100% right. It’s crazy how many of their practices have been carried over to cannabiz.

I haven’t seen any sops that say to prewash the media. That would be a smart thing to add to sops. And to be clear I was not crcing for the funnel I was simply testing for residues. The company’s I’ve seen selling crc media do not mention pre washing . And that will open them up to litigation in the future. Specifically bvv and afs
