Could terpenes be a waste product?

Hey guys couple quick questions, we are a licensed cannabis facility in California and are wondering if terpenes could be considered a waste product or not, our intentions are to bring cannabis derived co2 extracted terpenes to market, our terpenes contain legal levels of thc . we are hoping that they do not be to be inputed into metric. Allowing us to sell online and on the forum  . We how ever don’t want to be in any gray zone as we are on the up and up and stay away from that with our business and compliancy. any information would be great!

Gray market. Payment processing is the only major pain in the ass I see.

I am clueless as to METIC and ca, but i highly doubt it works that way…
plus if you are trying to stay legal, you cannot sell terpenes interstate if they are high thc cannabis derived.

I would like to think extremely desirable

they contain legal amounts of total thc under hemp classification

Then classify as hte & keep for formulations. Manipulate metric.

ehhhh manipulating metric would work but still kinda questionable

CA has regulations as to how cannabis waste products have to be handled.

a drug type cannabis extract is federally illegal to sell, regardless of thc content

Yeah but if you can profit off utilizing them instead of having to pay to destroy or discard them properly I’d take profit on a desirable terp that isnt trash all day

You seem to be missing the bit where OP is asking

“Hey, can we call this trash so we CAN SELL IT without jumping through hoops”

Swap out with some canola oil, trash canola oil. Now you have the ultimate Terp head stash lol

Actually trashing these would be a sin…

Oh I mean I didn’t see it as that, I thought he was asking if terps were considered a by product as in waste so do they have to throw the, out or can they stock the, for legal use. That’s what I intended
