Start with 7.5lbs machine trimmed at -55 to -60f in tube. Fill with slurry of iso/h2o around -55f to -60f in jacket. Deep vacuum tube to as close to -28”hg as i can pull before opening liquid reciever for approximately 1:30-2 mins fill time raising my tube pressure to about 25psi. Soak for 22min.
Open bottom of vessel and run thru CRC (350g bentonite clay/450g mag silica/ 450g alumina) into top of evaporation pot @ appprox 15psi (jacket is constant heated by tankless in next room set at 101f). When i see liquid reaching evaporation pot,mvp60 pump is switched on.(explosion resistant electrical system)
After evaporation pot butane is pulled thru dessicant filter/drier by MVP60 pump and pushed thru condenser(filled with dry ice(average -35f) to jacketed holding tank (chiller keeps it at 6f in morning/Afternoon raises to 48f)
I run pump for another 22minutes then drain jacketed tube of iso/h20 slurry and start my push/pull by filling jacket with 101f water trying to get constant flow with 3/8” drain and hot water fill valve. Then I use vapor from holding tank to pressurize tube at about a constant 25-30psi for my push of the pull.
When pouring from evaporation pot I am shutting off heated jacket about 5min prior to me finishing, learned that lil trick on here to prevent fast foam expanding into pyrex, thanks guys😉
Room is kept at 78f with A/C specifically for blast room. I have a 4” exhaust fan which is approx 200cfm in a 8’x14’ room.
Getting very low yields of 150-250g per tube@ 2 runs per tube. New CRC every time i refill tubes. Pull vacuum on my dessicant beads every Friday before the weekend and let it sit.
Thanks for quick reply. I forgot to mention about once a month i switch out the molsieve being as boss has 2. I empty beads into open vessel that will fit into 120f vac/oven. Wether that is enough with the weekly vacuum and monthly drying/vacuum is a question i think can only be answered by me taking your advice raising temp and doing it more frequently.Processing: IMG_2970.jpeg…
Am I being greedy? Am I asking for too much out of too little. I realize that we never get out more than what goes in but this just doesnt seem right by my bosses standards.
150 ft above sea level. I understand that 29.92” is ideal vacuum but i would never attempt to get that due to moisture and time it would take as temp in tube rises. 28” is just a guess cause i know these digital gauges we work with nowadays arent always corrrect
Sorry, its bud put through trimmer machine and this is the collected from bottom bucket of trim machine. If you guys can bear with me,I’m not a grower. I’ve worked with growers for years, hence my hvac/refrigeration career ,made bubble hash in shed for years, just started in this side 6 months ago.
