I honestly think it’s just a splash shield. Thanks have a great day!
The heat is a feature not a bug…
spoon meet mouth
Why not thread the bottoms with a stopper of some kind.
When you need to retrieve the sauce, you unscrew it and boom light heat application and it should run on its own
when you decide to scale up, just purchase a refrigerated centrifuge! I used to run them to spin down cells from media in biopharma and was amazed to see them in the cannabis space but hey, that’s what makes this industry so fascinating.
I’m sure you can find others that meet your capacity and cost expectations, but here’s an example of what I’m talking about:
I agree with that for sure. I just wanted to make sure I stayed below 72f if I could, especially because I wasn’t able to put lids on my test tubes and I can’t have my terps flying all through the air lol
Thank you very much! I probably will rock this one until it burns out. Its the perfect size for my needs. I only grow and extract for my own meds, but if I ever have the need to scale up a bigger fuge is definitely on the list.
I finally got around to making some carts/disposables with the live sugar/sauce I separated. Decarbed the sugar and let it cool to 140f and mixed in terp fraction @25% . Glad i didn’t do 30% because 25% is right on the border of too much lol.
Ya 25% is a ton! I think we do like 5/10% for live resin carts
@troy227 I ended up getting the tubes and the caps yesterday. I ordered 20ml tubes and 15ml tubes. My plan was to cut the bottoms off the 15ml tubes and put a 25micron rosin bag over the end. Then stuff it inside the 20ml tube. The excess rosin bag helps fill the gap between the 20ml and 15ml tubes and is very secure. Then I folded the excess inside the 15ml tube and secured that into place with the screw cap. I’m sure I’ll make some modifications to it as it use it more. Basically a poor man’s fritted filter lol. Just did a test run with them today and they worked great. I just used some crude that I collected from everclear washing all my diamondand sauce jars. Also @troy227 the 20ml tubes with caps also fit in the centrifuge. Here are links to the 2 tubes I got. FYI the 20ml tubes have push in tops, but they are very secure.

The crude I ran
I put 3.5g in 2 tubes for the test run. Ran for 2 hours @4,000rpm. They worked great. I have a batch of diamonds almost done, so soon I’ll find out just how much these tubes can hold. I’m guessing close to 15g
The 3d printed bucket inserts we made keep the jars from cracking, we run them at about 3000rpm. we like the jars because we can use the rosin bags with the ring holding them in place.
Buddy I have the same centrifuge as you and the tubes you have been using are there to hold the 15ml tubes in place. I learned this when I removed one and accidentally slipped a tube inside of the machine not actually checking if it fit. The small tubes don’t have enough lip.
I have a 15ml tube pressed into a 20ml tube.
Isn’t that tube with the non threaded top the one that came with the fuge? That one is NOT for material.
Using cheap plastic tubes and have been flipping and pouring out the HTE. A ton gets left in the walls.
I’d there a pro tip way to get it out?
Why would you not use it? Does it leach plastic or something?
Terps and plastic is not ideal. Phthalates galore
badass bro!
Because if he wants to run 15ml tubes again they won’t fit without the inserts.
What kind of purity does this tek yield in the diamonds fraction?
Additionally, are there any teks that include cooling the centrigue and re-spinning the HTE fraction to get more diamonds to crash out?
