If the limonene is absorbing into the plastic is it theorized that the plastic absorbs into the limonene? Also would the PCTG be resistant to these things?

Im not sure. There is only relevant info on the PET, but the pET with extra stuff in it is looking might familliar.

Yeah that is 6 a unit full customization on the pen with your logo and custom packaging. I know they are brand new. I would expect pricing to go down as he gets them moving. The disposable part is the issue for me.

I believe this is the same Qcell they already produce in a different tube.

It is. They put a different cap on it. Also comes with a portable quartz element so you can dab your wax or shatter right on it.

โ€œAs a replacement, many manufacturers now adopt another engineering plastic - polycyclohexane dimethyl terephthalate modified by glycol (PCTG). It has excellent toughness and good heat resistance at ~120หšC. It is food safe as granted by FDA, and so will not emit BPA. PCTG is generally priced about 20% higher than PCโ€ http://www.emmarco.com/node/481

โ€œThe terephthalate polyester family also includes a lesser known but also glycol modified copolyester, PCTG. PCTG is similar to PETG in application and molecular structure. However, PCTG has higher chemical resistance, a larger range of printing temperatures, and increased durability.โ€ https://essentium3d.com/blogs/blog/pctg-vs-petg

" The lower chemical resistance of PETG can be seen when the copolyesters are exposed to lipids at high strain (Figure 7.44). PETG loses 80% of its physical properties when exposed to lipids at 1.5% strain, whereas PCTG retains 100% and PCTA retains close to 90% of its properties [45,46]." https://www.sciencedirect.com/topics/engineering/copolyester![0-B9780815520276100078-f07-44-9780815520276|491x282](upload://144d8muOEH5G1BQ6KTcg3UlnPl0.jpeg)

Cant find this on PCTG but the PTFE chemical resistance checks out. Nice chart here:

@WolfeXtracts the link broke now for some reasonโ€ฆ You guys too? Interested in airis already because of the j anus, but the quartz atomizer sounds interesting, resisting gumming up and having better airflow is big. So are the 2 mm holes

PTFE is a gift from the heavens, that is why it is white. It is pure and holy and itโ€™s properties were almost custom made for our applications

I guess we crashed the Airistech site I linked to above. Hereโ€™s the quote I received from my contact

Yup link is toast. The quartz is definitely the future dude. Hits way nicer than ceramic and none of the pop-thru or clogs. Canโ€™t wait for this technology to get dialed like the ceramic has been.

@Ascent told u, they crashed airistech site with the demand :joy:

I have a qcells coming from china to try outโ€ฆ The ccells are budget, the tobacco game is certainly ahead technology wise.

oddly, on the east coast, people do not like the pods. They like the 510 thread. Batteries are easy to find and cheap to buy.

I literally have never seen someone ask for a pod here in cali.
Never even seen a pod with dist in it lol

It depends on your market. i have seen no interest in pods till I snuck into a college campus.

Iโ€™ve had a few ppl ask about those pods. Not enough for me to buy and try them out.

Iโ€™ve found them to hit much better then the c-cell pen atomizers, and the portability and descreteness far surpasses them as well. Having used both I couldnโ€™t argue the superiority of the experience with the juul pod distillate experience. Iโ€™m thinking the q-cell may be a better vaping experience then the pods, and the plastic aspect always sketched me out
