First of all I would like to thank this community for all of the free info provided, you guys rock and Im trying to be a sponge and read as much as possible!

Basically my problems are simple just need level headed advice! I used to live in colorado but due to covid and some family members health/old age I’ve moved east to a state with a very different set of views.

I am very grateful/owe my life to my entire family and friends but the problem I am facing is a large majority smoke fake carts and that needs to change ASAP. They don’t fully understand the dangers that I stress to them but a few finally understand after trying a dispensary cart from another state, cousins and friends all cough up shit but keep going back to em because its all they can get/afford.

Medical is not an option here, quality and price is still a massive issue, 250 dollars to renew your card every year and 100 dollars a gram pen if you can even find a dispensary that has one. I am not trying to do this for profit but just help those that need it. Especially 3 family members who are recovering addicts.

So full disclosure I started on this journey before I found this wonderful congregation of mad lads me and my friends bought a bvv cart filler before I really knew all my options, from what I read on here I would probably have a easier time with a cart.farm filler and saved a little money too. Got an extra gasket just in case but any tips with it are appreciated.

I also bought a hot plate mixer with my cousins and a smaller heat mat to place my carts on as I fill, saw a few things saying if the carts are warm while filling that will help.

I planned on giving my 94% d8 and unknown d9 a hot water bath to get up to temp before the hot plate mixer but could I use my home microwave like I see some of these big guys do?

I also have cbd distillate, can I add it directly in to my hot mix or should I stir it in as its cooling down like I am supposed to do w the terps? Was told it was 91.325% cannabinoids, 88.45% cbd, 0.105% cbdv, 0.450% cbn and 2.10% cbg… any flags here?

What’s the best brand of butterknife to use?

Is wicking the carts actually worth it/ even needed?

I need to learn a lot more about terps but as most of this projects budget and time is dedicated to finding real D9 not full of pesticides/ cut to shit with D8 that I can actually use I’ve put this portion on the back burner. And being completely transparent this topic is one that I am most behind on reading up on, as a lot of the more popular posts I find echo a lot of wrongdoings/ lack of transparency ect I get fed up and start reading other useful threads.

If anyone reading this has any old/ unwanted terps hanging around I would be more than happy to be a disposal service for you/buy em/pay for shipping ect as any help would be humbling because I’m just a flat broke young dude. If there are any terpene companies out there that would be willing to send me some products I would be happy to write out a long thought out, but honest review!

Actually if any company would send me anything at all I would love do do anything in my power to reciprocate the favor, a video review, an essay, putting you on what meager socials I have. I was blown away by this groups generosity to give out chocolate for free and just asked for a review or when I messaged one of the cart guys on here they offered me samples for free out of their own kindness when I only had some basic questions about the manufacturing process and how shipping from china really worked/ how to find some vendors.

If I am mixing all of these cannabinoids back together in this instance is it possible for me to achieve the “entourage effect” with all these working together or is this no longer possible because they were stripped from separate plants with most of the chemical bonds broken down. running with this line of thought would cdt terps also help to improve this effect and if so is it truly a notable difference over using bdt terps… would bdt detract from this?

I know I will have to make small test batches to see what everyone likes and what really works with my to be determined ingredients but was thinking about starting with 70% d9 20%d8 5% cbd 5% terps or a 70,15,5,10 mix. Thoughts?

Hopefully I will be able to afford a smaller shipment of 500 carts or something like that by the end of the next month. What you have stated above seems contradictory. You are trying to prevent your family and friends from using bad/contaminated cannabis products by filling carts yourself with very questionable cannabis extracts.

You do not seem very confident in the material you are putting in the carts so why do you think this is a better alternative?

To put it the best way possible there are popular black market brands that will pop up here and there with their own distribution chains through snap and insta, for example a massive one in my community is called “Choices”

People out here don’t really know whats what’s so once they see the pretty packaging and flavors they 100% believe its a real brand. I mean it would even fool me if I never lived in a legal state I mean they even have their own branded carts. For a long time if you got “real choices” from one of those distribution accounts they were actually potent and would smoke well. HERES THE BIGGER ISSUE:

Anyone can buy em and pass them off, they can fill em with anything they want and they do. The picture of the choice carts i took myself i believe to be only D8 cut with terps IF that at all could be mct in there or vitamin e and who knows about the actual quality of the cart itself? heavy metals? inhaling plastic? all of these are a massive concern especially for people who will smoke a cart in a week for their pain it all adds up.

I’m not saying I am going to make a 100% safe cart, just something in my mind that is SAFER overall.

I mean inhaling superheated vapor isn’t really the best for you to start with just trying to help people out.

To really make better quality carts you need clean distillate and quality hardware carts, neither are cheap

I’d probably go with some quality ceramic carts.

As for the d8 and Cbd I’d just use d8, can find some $900-1300 a kilo here. The Cbd counteracts your d9.

5-7% terps is good I use floraplex for botanical terps they’re very cheap.

I always just use hot water bath but if any water gets in it’ll turn your distillate cloudy. So wipe it down good every time you take it out of the bath. You can microwave it too for sure though, I usually heat it up more after the water bath when I mix in the terps (15 seconds twice)

I was adding the cbd in hopes to add as much medicinal value as possible, would you suggest I remove it entirely or reduce the % make up?

Does it affect d8 in this way as well?

So essentially you are just tired everyone is buying mystery oil so you want to profit by selling “better” mystery oil.

1. You are doing a d8 cart shame on you
2. Admit you are in this for the profit fuck whatever you have convinced yourself is the reason.
3. Go to @FloraplexTerpenes use coupon code future4200.
4. Hot water bath to desired viscosity
5. Pour/ weigh desired amount
6. Add terpenes at 5-10%
7. Allow to fully mix on your mixing plate
8. If adding other oil cbd or d9 mix before adding terps
9. Once everything is mixed pull up into the heated syringe and shoot your carts
10. Cap everything quickly and turn them upside down.
11. Fuck filling the headspace from wicking… your street clio won’t pay for the .15 you add to each cart

Id suggest looking into cbc if you do plan on using d8. Will help thin and won’t need to use excessive terps. Also seems to keep d8 effects from tapering off so fast.

All in all sounds like you jumped the gun and got yourself into this before you were fully ready. If you truly are trying to help family + friends out I’d suggest vetting your source material especially your disty as best you can. See what needs they have and what noids will help. Might be beneficial to add some cbg into the mix.

Hardware - I think the all glass no cotton is best for d8 mixes imo.

i most definitely did jump the gun to early. i bought both the cbd and d8 a little while ago from loud house hemp. they had a few issues in the past with bad batches but as far as i can tell they are legit, have all the lab documents available if you’d like to have a look at em, tbh couldn’t tell you if they are real or not but they look real to the untrained eye…

Everything you’re asking us tells me that you shouldn’t be doing this and you will be unsuccessful in your endeavor to provide “clean” carts. Also you keep saying this is to provide for family and friends but you also keep referring to it as a product like you intend to sell it.
