Bubbles in cart

Cart bubbles

*When I fill my carts I get these little bubbles and I think the little bubbles are causing my carts to get big bubbles around the intake holes every couple of hits and I have to use a lighter to make it fill the bubble. I just decarbed another g and it Dosent have any bubbles but if I put it into the cart and it bubbles up again I’ma be quite annoyed

What cues are you using to determine decarbed?

If you want those images to show up, you need to wait for them to upload before hitting post.

I decarbed at 250 for around 6-8 on the video I stirred it till I saw no bubbles, I kept putting it back on till when I stirred it virtually no bubbles would show up and still had this issue with bubbles forming only on the wax intake holes

The phenomenon you describe sounds like “not fully decarbed”. The decarb you describe is not defined well enough to evaluate properly.

6-8 what?

250C? F? Kelvin?!?

Assuming F, and min, that is not necessarily enough time.…although I’ve never decarbed only a single gram.

Where is that 250F(?!?) being measured? Certainly not in your extract…

Are you using an oven?

Air is a lousy thermal transfer medium…

When decarbing 4-5kg, I’m currently at about 12hrs at 100C…before upgrading the circulator pump, it was taking almost twice that time.

You may find: Decarb under pressure to retain terps? informative.

I’ve had small jars like that (probably 5g) take 6+hrs in a double boiler (100C), presumably because there was water in the extract (poorly executed “live resin”). I’ve seen batches of CBD crude take days (presumably for the same reason)…(performed thusly)

What were you trying to convey with the video? No bubbles? it’s not on a heat source…

6-8h I use Fahrenheit. I used a oven on stuff in video but I used a rosin press to decarb the ones in the pictures and those didnt come out properly either. I just got a hotplate and stirrer im assuming thats gonna help get the air out while im decarbing. What are other signs that your concentrate is done decarbing?

Gets you high when you eat it?

Looks different via TLC. Eg:THCa/THC TLC during decarboxylation

Might even stop responding to bromocresol green.

Not “air”. CO2….and many of your terpenes if you’re not performing this trick under pressure.

I’m gonna put my own terpenes anyways but is losing terps doing something else besides losing flavor?. I put a stir bar in it and it showed me some bubbles so I guess it wasn’t fully decarbed. Next time if I cover it with a beaker while I’m decarbing will it preserve the terpenes?. Also I’m assuming the temp of the concentrate in the container is supposed to be 250f not just set it to 250f and the concentrate isn’t actually getting to 250f?

That’s one approach…

You don’t appear to have followed ANY of the links provided.

Everything you need has been explored…and documented.

250F is an arbitrary number. You can decarb at rm temp. It takes longer.

I looked at some of the links thanks, just didnt see specific answers for my situation I think. I just took the wax I took a video of and put it into a cart, I guess I fucked a that up a bit still cause the oils a bit thick but its actually flowing now with 10% terps and this time it actually went into the syringe easily so I think I’m getting closer, unfortunately I ran out of terps so the stuff I’m decarbing right now Just has to work without terps. Still has too many bubbles I’m pretty sure. If its fully decarbed should be in a liquid state ?

it had no bubbles and its dark amber when I put it in the syringe, had it on there for 10 hours 200f and I put it in a 2mm inlet cart this time. It was still cloudy at room temp. I gotta find a way to thin it or mix it, or something.
