We see about 1% thca left behind on avg. when we had a Luna it was 5-7% until we completely changed the system and ran it our own way. We never got it better then 2%. If you run the Luna the way they spec it with 1 fill and drain cycle it’s not enough solvent to run fire material and not leave a crap load behind
Were leaving behind anywhere from 1-3% behind with our luna but doing two soaks, were working towards a single soak and then a flush to get the remaining noids. Most luna’s preloaded recipes are set with two soaks.
@johnbigoilco are you able to actually get 1% with a single soak with your current system? I would be blown away if a single soak without any secondary flush would ever leave only 1% behind.
I did this while working for mfgs on their behalf.
The fact that no one else does this really solidifies my spot as the number one extraction equipment sales and marketing person on the planet
With 2 soaks do you cut in half the amount of biomass you can run?
So it seems like your findings lead them to never post the results…
I’d wager a lot of people do this, just not the manufacturers or at least if they do they dont share it.
Yep that totally solidifies it! You be the GOAT
not in half, No. A secondary soak adds about 15-20 minutes to my run time + however long you want to soak the second soak for.
The equip mfgs don’t like to advertise their stuff is for weed as that would be federally illegal and it was more of a concern a few years ago.
I’d wager @IlluminatedExtractor doesnt
Hell no we use 10:1 Solvent which works out to a little over 1 additional flush but is all ran at once.
LOL wut?
Every closed loop OEM markets directly to cannabis and some market hemp and cannabis.
That is the silliest excuse to not share that data and i honestly dont believe it for a second.
It just seems like you dont like IE and wanna bash them any chance, i think you just misunderstand how they run their system.
Why arent you jumping on every other brand about spent biomass potency numbers?
Take it up with the 2 owners of cls company that gave me excplicit marketing instructions.
Most mfgs post other people doing stuff with their gear not the actual mfg.
Because every other brand has 5:1 to 10:1 solvent to material ration on one pass.
I met the owners at some glg thing in SD and they were very nice and smart. No hate at all, just waiting for the coa for my own curiosity. I have no experience around the machine except at @Waxplug1 lab by the border.
I hate Luna equipment wayyyyyyyyyyyyy more and I actually like the owners of that co too.
Their spent biomass potency wasnt low enough so they told you not to share… Got it.
And this was years ago do you think no one has improved since? Thats like you hating on luna for their third system made not being perfect. I get it and i would be mad too but i’d also probably be self aware enough to know that most manufacturers are always trying to improve, some more than others. so those numbers you got are probably no longer even accurate.
I will criticize any extraction equipment company that makes customer unwitting r&d partners for full msrp in the machine.
I feel the same way about the Luna as @johnbigoilco
Running it from my phone was cool. Explaining the yields to the owner not so much. But it sounds like you and them have it dialed and I like that you like it.
I’d love to come visit sometime and bring you some l2l material and steal all the @Akoyeh hot sauce from your fridge.
it’s a RICO thing, same reason why I’m suspicious about Elliot getting caught delivering solvent to columbo’s lab and walking away scot free
I’m gonna go on a car forum now and get heated over some guy not liking the same car I do.
Gonna call someone a hater for not liking my tundra as much as I do.
Fuck anyone that doesnt like a tundra. I LOVE mine!
Wish they made that gen tundra (and the one before it) with an actual Trd option (like how the Tacoma’s and 4 runners are set up). Not the “trd” package it came with. That’s my only complaint minus no manual transmission being available (my only complaint about 5th gen 4runners as well).
I hear this new generation is getting an actual trd package, Hoping it’s legit. Also interested in how the new gen sequoia trd (hybrid) will be. Really want to see how the hybrid system handles bigger tires (since it’s in the transmission). Toyota FTW
This one came with all of the TRD stuff you could put on it like skid plate and some other stuff. It’s on the vin report when you print it.
This truck almost a barn score. Got it with 60k miles and only at 70k now and it’s an 07. This is the year jay got a million miles and I have another 07 I gave to my stepson that runs amazing at 250k
Nice man. Can’t beat that Toyota reliability. I’m driving that same gen right now with 300k. Also have a first gen with 380k currently. That ones getting some rear axle work done right now but still runs solid!
