Best way to decarb live resin

i was about to ask u,

is there a difference in terp experience if u seperate first?

I like the separate first method because you’ll have the option to control the thca to terp levels and make varying mixtures,

but the whole decarb method seems like a a straight forward. way

is there anything about the whole decarb method that gives it any difference than separating first?

You will do some damage to the terpenes when heated. It is not to say it wont still taste good.

Here is a jelly pie HTE cart I made yesterday. I froze fresh cut material(not trim)down to -86c and then packed tubes and froze again down to -86c for 24-48hrs. Extracted cold and through dewax column with dry ice slurry. After that I made diamonds at 82f or lower and centrifuged off the terps. Decarbed the diamonds and added 20% HTE back and no filler or other additives. My terps never went over 82F and even then was in a sealed jar. I run my battery at 2v to preserve terps and this jelly pie is yummy.
This after I vaped about 20%:

This is after 12hrs and about 50% vaped:

I can’t wait to get like that in the coming month prob. That’s beautiful.

This is what it looked like after the cold crash

woah 12 hours and 50 percent XD is that like tolerance, viscosity or test

better question, how does it last compared to disty mixes, isnt liquid thca or decarbed thca thinner?

oh but I see ur at 2.0.

I use a GT800 at 1.0 watts and heat at like 1.15 or something around that.

(i keep speaking about this battery)

its potent tho right, the diamond sauce cart I have here is 60:40 and is potent but I always wondered how hard something like 80:20 or 90:10 would do (even 95:5 or a 100% no terps)

That’s what I smoked in 12hrs. Well I actually slept 6.5hrs of that LOL. Just showing what it looked like at 50% smoked. I have a high tolerance as I been smoking daily for about 40+ years.
Decarbed THCA is not runny once it cools.
Holding the cart upside down to show it doesn’t move at room temp. I could go higher % HTE but I feel it would be too terpy and harsh on the throat.

lmao im a dumbass

its my cart that’s runny because my cart is the one with the more terpenes.

thanks for the clarification

What kind of carts is that? ICell?

I’ve made live resin carts a lot by decarbing and adding to carts

200f-220f wait till its pretty much not bubbling anymore.

put it in shot glass or small 4oz mason jar to decarb

I like using hot plate much better

I bought the live resin. I don’t know or have the equipment to make concentrates yet.

Looks like the iCell. Fucking solid cart that iCell.

Yes @lexiiii121 is correct it is iCell

How do you stop the crystallization in the carts?

Cbd or thc carts?

Thc carts you need to decarb it to stop crystallization.

Cbd carts you need to bring the concentration down below 50%ish to stop crystallization

I’ve done both and noticed the same. I was just a little curious on if you found a new way for thc to not crystallize

small batches i do on hot plate…if i had vac oven id rather use that bc u can most likelt deacrb at lower temps under full vac.

but onces its done bubblin 212-220f, add ur terps fraction back to it and mix it throughly about 150-160f. load at 160-165f for quick bump…

i also hair dryer my carts to prewarm them before loading and the stoppin before at the bottom problem fixed when cold

this is crc live resin i stole terps snd cooked sugar best carts yet considering its not disty

also the sidewallls at the coils are really thin. If you get a bubble around the coil, if warming w hands or car. heater dont do it a quick throw of bic lighter flame gets things back moving…winter months problems…in summer months its bc u leave in hot car and it gets thin and runs on through, or u leave in ur pocket firing the button over and over or jsut bendin iver and breakin it in those tight ass jeasns fatt ass!!*

dam see what @Killa12345 disty blunts do to me. been doin 3 or 4 on days off to face

Decarb is a function of temperature unrelated to vacuum.

idk i was just going off what i was noticing…maybe let me try rewording.

you can shorten then lenght of time it takes?

ive noticed on my hot plate i get the sugar melted and then once im at tempt i transfer back and forth to vac chamber run it till bubbles stop…then back to hot plate
…i repeat till its done. it also helps to get those bubbkes ouutta live carts

See " Le Chatelier’s principle". The effect is minor in this regard. It’s all about the heat…
