Nah seriously though…HOW is it ok to deceive people??? I’m genuinely asking. Do you think it’s ok for REPLICA terp salesmen to deceive customers? Many MANY ppl are unaware that REAL CANNABIS TERPENES should smell and taste like CANNABIS…most don’t even know they exist. How is it ok to LIE to people to make sales?
Isn’t the realterps guy the one who was pissed he couldn’t offload his rubber smelling isomerized noids and lost a boatload, so it’s everyone using CDT’s fault?
Terps are hard to verify. These days I wouldn’t trust fake/not fake or CDT/HDT unless I had talked to the supplier directly and visited their production/refinement site and cultivation site in person. Complete supply chain transparency. Even then you still have to trust them and have at least a spot check in your own facility with a GCFID/MS just to make sure your product you specd out is still your product weeks from now. It’s easy to adulterate essential oils and there is a big monetary incentive to do so. This isn’t just a canna/hemp problem. It’s across the entire oil industry from lavender to sunflower.
I’ve made terps in many ways with a few different companys. Cannabis and Hemp, co2, ethanol, hydrocarbon, steam. Both refined and raw.
It’s hard to rep any single method or source for making terps. They all make something a little different from each other.
I’ve always tried to be the terp sommeleir to my own palate but end up making terps that less than 30% of the tasters like and everyone else thinks is gross. Then when I start listening to the tasters and start formulating to their feedback maybe 90% of the tasters say the cart is good. I realized that often what I think smells and tasted like fire, others have very negative reactions to, and this goes vice versa. Like I think the methyl isovalaric acid that gets often concentrated in ice trap fractions smells like green apples, but any tasters who have small kids thinks it smells like sweat and baby diaper (strange effect). Smell is linked to memory in a profound way.
What I’m getting at is it’s important to maintain a diversity of terpenes, their raw materials, extraction, and refinement (optional) ((for perfume terps lol)) (((crc or distillation etc…))). Customers have a wide range of tastes and memories. Cheese terps will be fire to the connoisseur, but repulsive to the first time cannabis consumer. The key to to be honest with whatever you are selling and convey it’s properties accurately to mid supply chain buyers, and ideally the customer should know exactly the smell and taste before the first single puff.
This is why favorite arena of extracts are “general extracts” the thing that makes cannabis pleasurable is the sum of its parts, not in the specific details, although the specific details, define the sum of the parts.
Long story long…those arent cannabis terps in the pic huh?..I wouldn’t have a problem IF ppl were transparent , HONEST and specified. But when I implied those were 100% CDT your response was “the terps flow where I go”. Just sorta ran w it right?
The terps I’m getting now there is NO doubt they’re from cannabis plants only. They smell and taste like CANNABIS…no question.

I’ll try and see if you respond to my basic question. Are those terpenes in that pic you posted derived from 100% cannabis plants ?
Simple yes or no.
*I also do know real 100% CDT can and will “pickle” or sour over time when constantly exposed to oxygen. *I learned the hard way few years ago opening the same bottle over and over…the viscosity changed as well. From alcohol watery thin to syrupy almost distillate.
Pardon me if I come off as a “d head” but I’ve been screwed so many times by ppl who flat out LIE. I STILL don’t think ppl are bad…they just let greed and profit blind them. GOLDEN RULE…what IF you were trying to start a vape co helping ppl who were sick? Or if YOU just wanted good terps. You wouldn’t want anyone to lie or deceive you right?
I don’t hate you even if you are selling bogus terps…or even if your lying to others. Just disappointed in ppl is all.
I want EVERYONE to be cool. We are HUMAN BEINGS!!! GOD made us w/ a heart and a conscience. I EXPECT us to be amazing cool ppl. it’s why it breaks my dang heart when I see folks missing the mark.
I know ppl dislike me a lot here in this community…I rub ppl the wrong way. But my word I’d help every single one of y’all if you ever needed it. My word.

There’s a strange trend nowadays where the consumer actually wants CDT’s that have been heavily fractionated and refined in such a way that the composition is actually getting closer to botanical terpenes. Very stripped down, monoterpene-heavy and definitely on the verge of perfume-like.
