Benzene in KUSH SUPPLY / KUSH CO / GREENLANE / GAS INNOVATIONS / DIVERSIFIED

@FicklePickle @Dred_pirate when was that gtg at my place? We started seeing the fast crash around that time frame like weeks before. We briefly talked about it that day. I’ve not seen any chalky stones though. Only an immediate crash of fine THCa when pouring super wet…that I could sometimes get to dissolve back into solution.

We had assumed the pour spout was the culprit.

Wild right? That’s exactly where my head went too. Appeared to be the same issue. Bulk supply from @GasLogix-Adam check ppb levels and it’s clean. Wonder if it could have been in a refilled tank or something.

You still seeing it with nbutane or just the iso?

That was 4 months ago.

Still happening with n butane

That one should’ve been a first fill if I remember correctly—I may have my numbers off but it was either the first time it’d been filled or had been cleaned and refilled once. Here’s the numbers for that tank if it’s useful:

Here’s your current nBut tank:

Edit: @Dred_pirate this is also what I dropped for you if it’s helpful.

I have looked into this topic quite a bit and although I wanted to believe this at first, I still find this extremely unlikely. It would take some serious abuse to produce this result. The fact it’s showing up when still diluted in solvent suggests it came with the gas.

We also would see all types of samples failing for benzene left and right if it formed that easily under normal conditions. Benzene is most likely going to come from petroleum.

I suppose there is always the dirty cup analogy.

The tanks are never washed. Could be a build up inside the tank. Not trying to point fingers at @GasLogix-Adam just wanna figure this shit out

This is why I like buying gas from you. Quality customer service right here people…dude is about it.

Thanks bud, much appreciated.

Totally. But that’s what I meant by first fill, like that was either a brand new tank (post initial cleaning of course) or it had been filled, shipped home, cleaned, and refilled once.

And it’s all good. I have no problem falling in the sword for the sake of figuring this out. Just wanted to clarify :call_me_hand:.

Prax, Airgas, GI all offer Diversified gases.

Isn’t there an easy fix to get the heavy gasses off…distill at 84f…then ur heavy gases stay in the collection pot

So far I have not read a single post from the ones having issues state they distill all gas before use. Not saying they do not but I would have already posted that if I had this issue.

If u distill higher than 84f your gonna pull over any heavy gasses if they are any

Even though benzene is like 174f so u could distill at 100f and it would stay behind

@Dred_pirate distills his, I have seen him post about it…

Also believe I saw @johnbigoilco say they do too.

Also saw someone say they distilled all their gas at below 80f…

We distill all our gas and still have this issue.

…I always trust finger pointing companies.

I have distilled about 1k lbs gas and no matter who the gas comes from it has contaminants left in the collection pot.

What makes you think 84f is the magic number.

I must have missed it if that was posted in 1 of the 3 bad gas threads.
Also all distilled gas must go into a dedicated solvent tank that can be open and cleaned not back into the tanks the gas was delivered in. Nobody has posted this and I am certain of that.
