wtf, you filter butane? that cant be safe, unless you are outside or have a badass fume hood i would not recommend this.
running through a CLS? how would this be beneficial?

You should check out the CRC thread, it goes over using various adsorbants (including t5) in line in a closed loop system to filter while the cannabinoids are still disolved in the butane, or butane, propane mix. Posed just above

I like to crash my thc and filter my terps… then reintroduce… buchner works best for me… cls is more for shitty trim runs i dont really care about in my sops. Plus it seems you guys are still tweaking clear daily…

I’m using ethanol- is hot reflux with AC and BC still doable without any other steps?
I have AC granular pieces but also have powder avail as well, my BC is all powdered- I use the AC for some workups/cleanups in the ol synthetic playground that is the other side of my lab.
lol ive been reading them, i must of skipped over the filtering butane through a buchner part but i did see the filter stack remediation tek now that you mention it. ive been focused more on lab tek than extraction for the past couple of months. been an extraction tech for over 4yrs, i run a custom built CLS, i know alittle bit lol. it would be hard for me to implement the filter stack remediation tech on my unit. its cool to hear the crazy shit you artists are doing that i would have never thought of though. so much useful info and informative people on here, i really apreciate all the shared knowlege. for real!

Also are there other clays out there that will do the job? There is a boatload here and a wide variety as we were formerly producing face masks and other topical clays.
oh and you cant search t5 in the search bar, its too short.

Oh, yeah, definitely dont filter through a buchner with butane lol. Various chemical properties of butane allow the extract to interact more favorably with the t5, your best bet for filtering it over t5 in a buchner is probably heptane, ethanol works as a carrier for picking up water solubles but not much else.

nah not under a rock, just trying to deal with isomerization problems, color problems, % problems. mostly trying to get our lab on track, as i am the only one doing any active research about fixing our issues instead of walking around with my head up my ass making assumtions like these fools i work with lol
