Athena nutrients analysis

@emdub27 and @AgTonik i have a question and would appreciate both of your inputs please. My friend ran Athena for 5 harvests in his facility, previously they’ve used veg bloom with pretty good results. They’ve recently switched back to veg bloom after many complaints of the flower not being as flavorful and lacking a strong smell. They haven’t switched anything other than nutes during this time. While running Athena the buds looked great, always frosty and seemed to bulk up a little more than veg bloom. I smoked the end products and they’re decent, his veg bloom room def tastes better and smells more pungent. He fed the entire Athena line plus power si, with v+b he only adds power Si they grow in coco. Do you guys think it’s possible that running such high ec/ pushing the plants that hard is it coming at a cost in other areas (ie terp production). Do you have any ideas why they saw decrease in terps and on the nose?

Was the product tested?

Without any supporting data from their actual grow, I would draw the conclusion that Athena is too heavy in K. The K is antagonistic to Ca and Mg. Divalent cations, particularly Mg are involved in various terpenioid synthase processes. For a cannabis specific nutrient I would really like to see higher levels of Mg, Mn and Fe.

Is the clone recipe you’re working on an exact copy of the analysis or is it the emdub version?

Exact copy. Slightly different ratios for micros just to use the pre packaged plant prod micro.

With the inputs you’re working with is it possible to raise the ca like you’ve been recommending?

We would be happier with access to pure cal or cal prime, but the short answer answer no. The longer answer is we can live with the Ca where it is or a tad higher although that will also increase N and reduce the K to make it more plant available.

I’ve got 25kg bags of purecall on hand, I know when they ordered it they said it’s been a while since they had a request for it so I’m not sure if they would have any amount of it around.
It’s a shame there’s no cal prime to be had.

@Pattypan01 - @emdub27 would know better than myself. I would have guessed sulfur or some micro like boron? My wife tells me I know just enough about something to annoy people.

Also, he should let us know how much we owe him for his time on this project.

Yes I agree, I think there’s a few of us that are willing to chip in

I’d gladly throw in to help cover any fees just let me know how much and where to send payment.

Thanks @emdub27 and @AgTonik for your quick responses.

I’ve asked my buddy for the coas before and during Athena trail period, will post when I receive.

@AgTonik, @Medicine.grower, @Pattypan01 you guys are too kind. I’m just working on this in my spare time and deconstructing it is plenty valuable to me since I have more and more people asking about it daily. The weird thing about it is just like @Pattypan01 friend everyone I know that has trialed it has gone back off of it. I do a little work with one of the major guys they have repping it on insta and he’s only running it on less than 1% of the canopy. It’s definitely clean and I think it could be made to work quite a bit better if there was a transition phase from veg to bloom.

I agree it’s not perfect, but what I see I’ve had better results then jacks 321. Here’s some icc at day 68 getting cut tomorrow.
These did well the whole run without major issues, I think my main problem is I’ve been running to much coco for the size plants I have, it was my first go with coco and it was a learning curve compared to promix.
Next run I’m running half the media per plant, I think I’ll have more control with run off and dry backs.
Also next run up I’ll be doing one table in them coco bags and the other in 6x6 rockwool.

Cute memes but when have people ever called imid a pgr?

And yeah everyone knows Ivan got put on by the Albanians and they own all those companies and his glasses.

All of it was news to me. Figured the community would clear it up one way or another

I don’t know about the other companies, but B from their videos really is the founder of Athena and Luxx. There was definitely restructuring when Ivan got involved with it, but B still owns a significant share. That’s about all I’m allowed to say about that.

There’s plenty of phosphoload in the CA regulated market weed, half ml a gallon passes bro. Lol. There are labs that will pass stuff for the right amount of cash, just like the ones saying straight outdoor is 30% thc. But most use chlormequat now, it’s not even tested for.

Still not sure what phosphoload is, haven’t heard about it until these memes. It’s sad I learn more from memes then traditional media (propaganda)

Paclo and daminozide blend. At least that’s what the state said when they pulled it.
