Are people still using activated alumina?

That’s about right with the color change over time. Thanks

Sugars will do it too. I had some extract come out white with a green tint to it. After a week the top layer of the sugar oxidized orange. Not bad I guess going from green to orange but definitely interesting to see

Small 5 lb runs but no silver hue over here. Ive tried drying and only difference it makes is less b80 needed per run for that clear. Im going for nice yellow now and the little bit of b80 i use works fine how it is.

All I use is w1 and a tiny bit of AA. Small layer on the bottom and small layer on top with w1 in the middle and everything comes out fire. Here’s Zookies, Gelato Cake, Grape Gellee and Apple Grease Monkey.

I hear a lot of different opinions as to what crc tastes/smells like. What would you call crc flavor/odor?

Depends on the volume of media it was ran through, but over crc usually reminds me of a citrus profile that’s very faint & bland notes.

No idea on solvent temp, goes through a coil in ice bath and yes nitro push

I could see that on the less quality stuff that has to get that heavy remediation. Definitely makes limonene really stand out in those cases. For good trim I find remediation does little in the way of changing the profile except maybe it removes some of that sweet honey undertone.

I’ve noticed that, I just feel it’s mostly due to the amount of silica & combo of aa in higher volumes when folks use that ratio style it’s very robbing & always a higher depiction of limonene.

Even without the use of silica and aa you can get the heavy limonene from eh material. When you say citrus are you suggesting like orange in nature, or more lemony? I find it’s almost always lemony.

Definitely more on the lemony side like almost a “cleaner” if you will.

But I guess that depends on the cure of the trim, I’ve played with some midzy trim & got a pleasant profile that didn’t resemble close to what the bag smelt of, but more so of what you would expect from just some flower with a short nose

I just call that shit pinesol.

I was mostly wondering if he was going to mention something other than lemon. I’ve heard vick’s floating around and I figure that’s gotta be from cbd. Any time I pick up on that strong cherry or mint odor the concentrate lacks any stability.

Oh my man, you just need to run some dog shit material to get it. Crc the piss out of it and you’ll get something between vicks and pine sol

It was my understanding AA is good for picking up water as well. I use AA granules. A taller stack and a warm CRC usually give me decent results. Combined with HighPH carbon granules im able to often get that CRC quality with out to much terp loss IME.
