Hey all! I’m thinking about picking up a Zonesun gummy depositor (specifically this one) and was hoping to get some real-world feedback.
Does anyone know if these machines play nice with pectin, or are they strictly for gelatin? Also, are they reliable enough for consistent runs, or do they require constant tinkering? Thanks in advance for the help!
I can tell you these are probably cheaper directly from the manufacturer
It should work with pectin, i hate the heating bands on the outside i like the one with jackets better
never seen one but 2 things worry me - the use of that orange heating tape/mat on the outside of the hopper and the fact that the nozzles don’t look to be heated at all. sounds like clog city waiting to happen, especially if you are using pectin.

They work perfectly fine
I have something similar to that
Nozzles are heated too
Im using it with pectin
The biggest thing with the heating bands is from my expeience it struggles to keep temperature
The nozzles arent heated but even on my older version with the jacket they arent and i havent had them clog during a run. The gummy solution keeps them pretty warm and the block where they attach to is heated
Edit: looks like the block on this one is heated with bands too, the one i used had a heating probe in the block so it stayed hot this one has more heating bands. Id definitely be worried about clogging with just heating bands on the nozzle block

Do you have a link to the one you are using?
I’ve bought a total of 3 of these before, the first two directly from the manufacturer (LST).
The first was jacketed and I didn’t care for as it was harder to break down and full clean, the controller was also external so the whole thing was a bit janky.
The second one was the next gen (@Kingofthekush420 posted above). It had some flaws for pectin, mainly the valve block getting clogged if priming wasn’t done quickly enough, grey gunk getting pushed out the back of pistons, requiring frequent o-ring changes. It only seemed to be capable of 60C.
The third one I bought from a company that works with LST and made a much better version. It was a bit more expensive (18k no cookers) but much better made and addressed the issues above. The heaters work very well, 90C within 20 min, no scraping or grey gunk (no o ring issues). You get what you pay for I guess
