Analysis of Hexahydrocannabinols

We’ve been testing a lot of HHC samples. I have mentioned in the past that we’ve tested quite a bit of samples labeled HHC, but turn out to be D8 and some other isomers. Some clients have said it was sold to them as Hydroxy HHC, yet they request HHC testing. These are different substances.

I’ve heard some accusations that testing labs are converting the substances back into D8-THC.

We have not seen evidence of that happening.

Here is a paper on the topic: Analysis of Hexahydrocannabinols 280222.pdf (549.6 KB)

Quite the accusation; D8-THC converting back to d8. You almost want to hear them out, but even cursory knowledge of organic chemistry would tell you that’s not happening. Looks like its time to play the ol’ is it snake oil in the hemp market game.

It’s kinda funny except it’s not.
