Had good luck with Hemp King from China . -80 chillers for around 12k.
What is the chilling power delivered at -80 deg C?
Is the system UL or ETL listed, can it be?
I don’t have the spec sheet in english but one chiller covers 1 270gal ethanol tote and 2x 150gal extraction vessels. Speed of solvent recovery can outpace the cooling capacity of the chiller, but we run 2 full extraction setups so its not really an issue for us.
Preach on!
Correct, Lc02 and ln2 are nice on a relatively small scale. But, yes a proper chiller with enough kw is ultimately what you want. Unfortunately, for me I’m going to need a chiller that has at least 12-15kw @ -50/60c
If that chiller isn’t three phase, it’s not going to be very powerful
We offer a model in that range which provides either direct refrigeration(to -48 C via R-507) or dynalene pumping:
4 Tons is 14 kW.

The system in the quote doesnt have waste heat recovery, that would have to be added on but has been done before, only issue is the waste heat is only at 40 Deg C(limited by compressor), so you may need another heat source to get it the rest of the way.
When that day comes.
I’ve also looked at the cryodak (sp?) they have some pretty big ones, too
There are some significant differences in our system designs, and I dont think the cryodex offers direct refrigeration via R-507 (no glycol)
