Them open sourcing to you or to the forums/ community & or paying the fee are what come to mind. In a way I look at it as respect being a higher form of currency.
Many come to the Gang looking for a way into the industry, coming from a place of zero knowledge or skills, looking to make connections. They don’t typically have any thing of value to contribute right off the bat except hard work and gumption.

His company operates as a meritocracy. For the most part decisions are voted on by the team. Different members of the teams vote on almost every decision. Their votes are ranked off past performance in that field. As the results of their decisions play out in the future, there power in the voting process is adjusted accordingly.
An example is I trust blindly

Several other members I feel the same way about.
Those respected members not only their posts, but there likes carry a lot of weight with me.

That’s why I didn’t completely advert from the fee payment. I know it’s always different strokes with different folks, some rather get the level up on an instant( as soon as approved) or put in the time & work to gain that spot as a whole. From my view it’s the same thing we do for MoM’s for those that contribute are awarded as such. The gang membership isn’t something taken lightly as it does carry many benefits & will help folks in this industry no doubt.

I barely understand how post pics and links. I only just figured out how to read peoples edits. Probably because this place is my only hangout. No fb ig or sc if people still use those. So while I appreciate greater editing powers, I most likely will never use them. But yea still, give me the power.

I’d like to be able to make limited edits, my open source models need occasional updates, and my legal situation may benefit from being able to redact other prior post content

I would even push for making people give an edit reason, and not letting them change the substance of the post like from useful info to ‘null’ even if revision history is still there. Thats why I feel 24h is long enough for 99% of the edits that are needed, anything past that is people trying to cover their tracks and thats just not how any of this works (revision history, backups, archives, not to mention breaking threads or making them more difficult to digest)

Maybe dm a level 4 or admin and have him/her go back and edit the post(s) that the op wants fixed.
This will pit A LOT more work on said lvl4/admin people with this route.

Depending on the reason it would be highly frowned upon for us lvl4 people. It would probably result in a lvl4 losing that level if @sidco didnt agree with the change without passing it by him first.
So how many people does one need to ask to change a number of posts. Several members here change jobs and don’t wanna be associated with a business which may or may not share that members morals or beliefs.
Some of us distributors might not push a brand that is fucking over people and that business might want to distance itself from that brand. There are a lot a scenarios that this can exist.

I think if they kept all their shill posts in classifieds where they belong then disassociating with the company is a lot easier. We both know that’s not easy, and I dont think it’s entirely possible. That’s why I often bring up first if they should really have two separate accounts, one for business and another for personal use. When you leave the company, simply stop using that account and make a new one for the new company.
I have much less love for the people who want to hide that they worked for a company because it ended up in a dumpster fire or they want to distance themselves from that brand. Removing all your posts about it doesn’t make the fact it happened go away, but at least if you stick to classifieds ill unlist the posts.
The science sections shouldnt be about anything personal really, nothing off topic, nothing about a specific business (very few exceptions), just ideas and the science.
