Whats the story with these?
Why you need 26pcs?
You guys try making freeze dried flower in bulk scale?
Ahhhhh good ol styrofoam weed
Great terp retention. Weird fucking consistency.
I’m helping a friend sell these, but yes they were being used to freeze dry fresh frozen.
Ooffff
Can we start by letting others know who convinced you guys into purchasing TWENTY SIX SMALL freeze dryers?
Who was the vendor/consultant?
Doesnt seem like a wise financial investment, even if you could sell the freeze dried weed for $1200/lb wholesale.
Just want others to be aware of machinery processes that really DONT work.
Like some people are trying to do with these planetary centrifuges right now.
These smaller units work amazing for hash drying purposes, they have no presence in scaling freeze dried flower.
If you want to freeze dry flower cost effectively, you need physically larger freeze dryers to reduce your load/unload labor, and parts/repair down time due to the tiny compressor systems in those Harvest Rights.
I would have absolutely gone a different route had I been involved in this project. But nonetheless, they have them and are looking to sell them.
Great for ice hash, freeze dried candies or edibles, and for freeze drying breast milk for long term storage. I wouldn’t recommend whoever is buying these to buy them for flower drying
Reduced price
I’m interested in a few
Never mind I actually read the thread I didn’t know there was a market for freeze dried weed
Lol there isn’t. Most people use these for bubble hash/ice wax or edibles, which they’re great for.
Bumping to see if there’s any interest this week
We have a good market for freeze dried weed here in Oregon. it pulls a bit more than traditionally dried buds.
That’s nuts.
Why? Terp content is higher and it smokes smoother.
I’ve never seen a good example but I’m open to it
Rosin still has terps after being washed and freeze dried too… but the brittleness is what I can’t seem to get past, unless you of course have a perfected recipe for keeping your moisture content acceptable upon pulling the flower from said FD.
There was a brand in Socal, Santa Ana, that was doing this on the Rec market.
Used to cure the whole colas and pack them in whole ball jars.
They only have eighths now it seems.
Tried it a few hears back, does feel very ‘crispy’.
Burns a but more carbony, and in a storz and bickel it tastes a bit more terpy but the bowls burn quicker.
The flower does look fully preserved, but I assume they hand trim it as well.
Seems they are still in business 3 years later.
Nobody out there needs some freeze driers?
I legit would buy some for food storage/drying uses if @Scisolinc paid their debt they still owe for that kd6 dual stage.
Surprised not one of these has been picked up yet. Why pay for these new when you can get for basically half off? Hit me up!
