https://future4200.com/t/where-the-4200-truth-lives/182702/244

The IFR was realeased in aug 2020 befor I ever met wade so I hope you understand my confusion,

as for my comment I didnt say “I only listen to” I said what I rather listen too than the YouTube creators 20 sec clickbait video which is not being a good source to rely on vs the actual legislation being written and meetings being held about the subject by the people who are going to write the 2023 Farm Bill, in the end its ALL speculation until the actual bill is written and signed I hope they regulate the industry to help it grow but they could absolutely just kill it who knows :man_shrugging: so thats why I keep going is because its a progressive conversation that will have impacts on how me and many others move in the industry and several members here provide great insight and article links that help build a better understanding that im happy to have

I shut my company down in 2020 as well because I was not prepared to take a lawsuit for selling distillate I made so I figured I’d outsource better material rather diluting with CBD. When that material was similarily bunk I decided hemp industry isn’t my thing.

Don’t get all

in the future when you come around acting like an expert and someone who didnt partake in the industry at the same time and people have a laugh or two about it.

Anyway, to stay on topic and not discredit people posting here - this is a prediction thread. Were predicting.

The 5th Circuit case, known as U.S. v. Daniels, was decided by Judges Jerry Smith, Stephen Higginson and Don Willett. Together, they held that the 922(g)(3) restriction was too broad as applied to Daniels and unsupported by a “historical tradition of firearm regulation,” as required by the Supreme Court in Bruen.

Substitute fire arm for cannabis in that ruling and i think we have our way out. The 10th amendment reserves all the common law rights to the people they had prior to the ratification of the constitution. Not legal advice, just a brainstorm im having. The person in the case was given a 4 year sentence while admitting to occasionally smoming marijuana and possesing a gun.

I wonder what will happen to the big players of the hemp D8 game like 3chi, Urb, and Exhale. If they get rid of the current hemp bill and don’t roll it over to the next years.

They are such big companies

Stiiizy just got into the hemp game a couple months ago and is crushing it in all the shops I go into.

This is what I’m talking about, @Patsykilledtony . I get that the market might but be persuasive to regulators, but these guys aren’t going to go down without a fight.

At the end of the day, D8 is a direct result of prohibition. The Farm Bill let the genie right out of that bottle. I’m sad for the consumers. They’re going to lose. And when getting D8 gummies at the gas station is winning, imagine how sucky losing will be.

Trying not to take this personally. :kissing_heart:

It will be hard to ban this emerging market when almost everyone wants the products it offers (cannabis in general.) To the end consumer a D8 gummy is fine as long as it offers the effect they want. True, we know better options. But ultimately people want access to intoxicating cannabis products and it’s going to be hard for the government to go back on their offering here. It’s not like nicotine or alcohol products where most people agree that it’s harmful, especially to kids. In the end, public sentiment still means something. Billions are spent every 4 years on it.

D8 is a direct result of the farm bill. It never was sold in the true prohibition era. In my eyes the farm bill ended the craft grower movement, and brought in the malt liquor generation. That and oklahoma were the 1/2 punch. Imho the education of the consumer base has dwindled to a point. Idk if the za to boof ratio has ever been this high.

Just wanted to take this time to remind everyone that CONGRESS has requested our FEEDBACK as an industry.

You can submit this feedback specific to how cannabinoids should be handled moving forward to the RFI found here.

You could have also submitted information about the Farm Bill directly to members of congress and their staffers:

House (just missed this, I posted it before, you can start immediately after the draft becomes available for public comment though)
Senate You can 100% still submit feedback here. And you should.

Go forth and tell people what you want to see. They don’t have to give it to you and if they don’t know what you want, how could they give it to you?

I think you are underestimating the greed of the government, while I agree it will be hard to reign it in. Money talks, and the government wants that 280e money. D8 and THCa are cutting into that rather significantly in my opinion. I hope I’m wrong and we get to keep rocking it, but I’m highly skeptical. When will we see a draft of the new farm bill ? @Willbilly11, whats your take on it? You are currently in the hemp game right?

Hemp companies sue to overturn Arkansas ban on delta THC products

Arkansas, which has a legal medical marijuana industry, banned the sale of products containing hemp-derived delta-8 THC as well as delta-9 THC and other synthetic isomers of THC. But on July 31, the day before the law took effect, companies involved in the Arkansas hemp industry sued to overturn the ban.
