2 sous vide not cutting it

1 sous vide 2 sous vide 3 sous vide 4.
3 sous vide 2 sous vide 1 sous vide no more.

Idk how you guys are getting these wheenie sous vide cookers to hold temp when using for a jacketed collection pot. Running 2 is no difference. Actually worse since the damn breaker keeps popping.
The collection pot is a large 12x48 jacketed.
Have a pump for each jacket. Water comes out so cold it can’t recover temps. Can’t get temps to go up at all

my first “sous vide” was a water heater element in black pipe with a standard water heater thermostat. 50ft of 3/4" heater hose let me put it at a safe distance. used an old keggle as the “hot pot”.

That’s going to be the next move. I’m just blown away that these work for anybody.
Could hardly even heat the splatter platter lol

I got a hundred feet with the wrong kind of tubing…

most sous vide units are tiny.
grab a tankless water heater if you need more heat in your life.

What temp do you have set at?

A bucket heater and controller is about $75 for something in the 1200-1500w range. I use one on a 12" jacketed base and it drops about 8-10 degrees, but recovers fairly quickly.

Thats what i use is a bucket heater they were 50$ on amazon when i got mine, but theey get hot i was only running crude so it didnt matter but if your not just doing crude get a controller like stated above.

It doesn’t matter I can have it set to 150f. It doesn’t have the oomph

What brand is the one you use?

Those bucket heaters are way weaker then sous vide I wouldnt use them. We had great success with three sous vides in a gatoraide cooler with the lid drilled out perfectly to hold three sous vides. If you just have a open bucket with no lid its tough to hold temps

I have badass temp controllers if youve got $1500

The bucket heater keeps up better than the 900w anova sous vide I used, 100%. Its not the best option, but hard to beat for the price.

Don’t use them both on the same circuit. If you have them, might as well try them on different circuits, or one with more amps.

If 2 sous vide blow your breaker you’re gonna need to upgrade your electrical service

Honestly, its way to small for my needs. I have a tankless gas water heater that will do 199,000 BTU or just about 42kwh but I’m having trouble trying to keep the system in a closed loop and getting the system to turn on and heat the water.
