I had a lengthy post written, but ultimately why bother. This forum is quick to go reddit style mob; Just look at this thread… I grow tired of being the one to have to play devils advocate when the mob has blood in their eyes… still, I suppose someone must try to break the echo chamber lest this place end up like that website, reddit.
Nothing here to me is sketchy that isn’t explained by language barrier or common business sense. If you’re new to doing business with any kind of manufacturer, maybe this isn’t common to you. Shipping delays have been going on for a while, most recently, hear of the Evergreen? Everyone has been hit with shipping delays…
For what it’s worth, I’ve bought a few products from Moon, their inventory changes daily (I get daily stock updates after showing interest in reactors a while back). I’ve had no issues to date. Ask me about my Chinese nitrogen generator supplier and I’ll have some choice words to share…
Their [Moon and co] products are exactly what you should expect for the price.
Point is, no one is going to let you into a distribution warehouse so you can open crates and put your hands on product.

Title of post literally says 100L reactor in stock in LA…
Can we not hold the vendors here accountable for advertising misrepresented products? Whether that be quality, or timeline of delivery…
I have never had an issue with quality checks be it requested photos/video or literally going to a distribution warehouse and observing the equipment before purchase just as you described. My real issue was with the repeated statements that the product was in stock in LA when it wasn’t. They are trying to collect deposits on products that they advertised originally as ready to ship and then ask for sympathy when issues arise. That stuff gets under my skin and seems to be more acceptable in this industry than others.
I understand your point of view and will consider that on my next vendor questionnaire. I hope you see where I’m coming from as well.

I agree with you that this is an entirely legitimate complaint. However, let us not assume they are constantly coming back to this forum to update the title or posting.
As I mentioned in my first posting, I get their stock emails. Let me share with you my emails from the last week:
4-16: 50L reactors in stock, did not inquire about others
Tuesday, 4-20: 50L reactors sold out, 10L, 20L and 100L reactors still available for immediate ship.
Thursday, 4-22: all reactors sold out, next expected: end of April
LA is full of show rooms and warehouses. A few thousand dollars for a floor model wouldn’t be a business breaking decision.
Have you ever bought something from china to have something not representative of what you bought show up? Yeah it’d be nice to put hands on merch like at xtractor but even seeing it would be a huge help.

I understand what you’re saying, but look at it from another perspective, in 2 days they moved their entire inventory of reactors, 6 if you wanna go back to when they had stock of all models. I suspect not one of them demanded to go to the distribution warehouse (which again, likely has zero control or influence over) before buying their budget reactors.
I would not be entirely surprised if their May shipment sells out before it clears customs.

Just be honest is all I ask personally… If you have it say you have it, if not, say not. If it’s on the way here, just say it’s on the way here. Everybody will understand the truth, that’s all. I hate the bait and switch, or pumping up numbers that you don’t have. It doesn’t matter to me if these reactors were from China, or from Oregon. It’s the flighty stuff like, Yes I have them, but… I don’t…
That’s means you don’t have them. Transparency will garner you ALL THE FAVOR on this forum. Be open and honest, and it’s all good! You’ll go much farther than everyone else if you’re being open, and transparent!

On ship at sea
On ship at dock
Awaiting customs and clearances
En route to distribution warehouse
Inventoried and Ready to ship
When are the reactors estimated, understanding dates may slip and it is out of your control, to be moving towards to the next process in line to ready to ship?
Here is an example of the kind of response I have received in the past: item at sea on way to port, approximately three days, approximately one week for unload and customs then ready to ship by truck in days after.

I should mention that I’m no one, and nothing. This is only my opinion, and nothing special happens if I flag a post. It gets viewed the same way it does when anyone flags a post. I haven’t flagged anything, but I agree with the savageness of some of the approaches, and I apologize for coming “sideway” if I did come that way.
Anyone else think its strange that a glass reactor is being advertised but a stainless reactor is the picture they used to represent the reactor??
