We got our Xylem X4 in almost a month ago, and been running it pretty hard since then. Wanted to drop a shout out to the Xylem crew here for building just an absolutely KICK-ASS cart filling machine (also thought it would be a nice break from all the hemp THCa and China Chiller for sale posts on the front page lol).
Anyway, quick background: I’ve run most of the cart filling systems out there at this point from the analogue style like the 50-shot (which hey…honestly isn’t a bad system, has it’s place for small batch stuff), the classics like Thompson duke (shout out for still running reptile cage heating lamps in 2024), the XYZ Axis Fillers like the ATG, and our previous system the VapeJet (great system honestly no complaints and we’re keeping it for it’s versatility and using it for various AIO and pod systems)
This is the first cannabis specific system I’ve seen that really wowed me with thoughtful engineering and features.
Showed up very well and professionally crated, no damage and well strapped down.
Drew came out to do the commissioning and training, got everything buttoned up and ready to run within an hour or two and it was time to go. Training was simple, honestly the machine is very simple to use. There are a few things you need to be aware and mindful of on operations (we learned to make sure to check the chuck tightness where it presses the carts after starting to crush some) but by and large it’s just a set up and go operation.
System is easy as hell to use. We’re getting ~1700 carts per hour right now consistently (if they’re easy press) or ~1500/hr if they’re friction lock, which since we do contract manufacturing we don’t always get to choose what we use.
One tech can operate this machine AND the vape jet at the same time with no issues. Rarely throws error codes and when it does it pops up a frickin MAP of the system on the screen showing what the issue is, WHERE the issue is, and tells you how to fix it.
There are so many small little QOL features on this thing that are great, little features sure but they show they took some time to listen to operator feedback and add 'em. Built in lab stand next to the reservoir so you can just drop your vape blend jar on there and let it fill. Hook built into the reservoir cap so you don’t have to have it sitting on something, just hang it up on the ceiling of the machine. The shelf that pulls out where the carts dispense to opens up to reveal a FULL toolkit for the machine with spares parts and components! Love stuff like that.
Anyway, 10/10 on the machine. If you’re looking for a solution for high-throughput on vape cart filling, I highly recommend it!
