So its not cryodistilled really, just recovered with really cold coils right? Not trying to fight over semantics, just never heard of cryodistilled before unless ur talking about freeze drying
These terpenes are collected via a Cascade Cold Trap from our slow-and-low purge process. I agree It would be more accurate to say cryogenically “collected” rather than distilled.
Just curious on the yield for this method, you must have gone thru 50 kilos of live resin to get a liter of cryocollected terps. Are the notes sharp as in it mainly contains the lighter fractions?
Was the live resin ripped of most of its terps in the process?
While not a common term, and on the face seems a little extra, if it’s a true cryogenic temperature cold trap… that’s cryogenic distillation.
Why would it be more accurate to call it “collected”? It’s a distillation process, and by all accounts, the same stuff going around with other terpenes that are “distilled at low temperatures” I’d take them over steam all day long.
Your right, thats why i said i wasnt trying to fight over semantics but with my questioning, we now have alittle more insight into how these were collected or distilled.
Once my next questions are answered, ill be able to make my final judgment to order some for sampling.
Steam distilled can still be aided with vacuum to allow lower operating temps and collected with cryogenic cooling
