That’s pretty much what a local ish myco wizard told us as well. I thought it looked like something out of the upside down from Stranger Things, but then again, lots of fungi look that way.

The flush was too small for me to grab, but I found some late fall oysters as I was out collecting wintergreen. Haven’t had a lot of time to forage this year, unfortunately.

Was out looking for LBMs in the dune grass. Only ones I found looked deadly.

Did find a handful of hedgehogs when I got sidetracked and wandered out of my target habitat (in the hopes of matsutake).

It was a nice walk. Pretty sure the other seeker I interacted with had been successful, but they wouldn’t confirm their target nor luck.

Found in Pacific City Oregon this weekend. Not sure what they are other than the Amanitas

Definitely the biggest mushroom I have ever seen

Couldnt find the heart to harvest it since its so big, hopefully no one messed with it it was inside a corn maze at a local pumpkin patch
