Why do clogging conversations suddenly feel way more common lately?

I’ve recently seen many users of postless vapes complaining about clogging.

These devices work perfectly at first, with smooth airflow, authentic flavor, and decent vapor output. But issues arise after sitting idle for a while or being used continuously. Some users have noticed restricted airflow and condensate accumulating in the mouthpiece. All these are typical clogging symptoms that gradually get worse.

This is a noteworthy problem. An increasing number of brands are adopting high-terpene oils such as resin and rosin, which are highly prone to clogging.

I’m curious to hear what issues you’ve observed lately. Feel free to share your thoughts! :innocent:

Cold crashed THCA decarbed to d9 is like glass. Hard as a rock and needs high temps to flow.

Have seen plenty of that… aka “it’s too pure” for the vape cart. They expect a specific density and outside of that window it stops flowing right.

For rosin probably be the waxes because they get pressed out 100% with everything else. There is no getting around that one. Even at -20c waxes are still soluble in solvents apparently so pressing it at anything above that temp will obviously put them into your product since terpenes are solvents after all and that could be what’s clogging the system.

I think the push to add more and more terpenes is causing it

Terpenes are known to attack plastic components

Thanks for the detailed reply — really interesting perspective.

That “specific density window” point especially caught my attention. Honestly, my first time hearing that term used this way.

Feels like a lot of hardware really only performs consistently within a relatively narrow oil range.

I’m really curious how much wax & condensation inside the airway start affecting performance over time in a vape system.
