Who do you appreciate at Future4200? (The say something nice thread)

Just wanted to give this thread a bump. Just recently found this community, blown away by the wealth of information, camaraderie, and activity. Also the amount of philosophical deconstruction I see in cases of disagreement is unique and well appreciated. I hope to be as helpful as the rest of you have been to me and everybody else in my position. Cheers!

I appreciate the following ninjas

@Beaker
I can’t express how much I admired beaker. I’ve told the story before so I won’t repeat it in long form, but a short version is, I was brand new at extracting all around. Complete newbie just trying to learn here. Long story short after bugging beaker with stupid questions forever I randomly asked if he would ever be down to meet up for coffee and talk. He invited me to his home no questions asked, he sat there with me for hours and did a whole little crazy distillstion run with his sublimation setup(I think) Anyways that was the first time in my life I’ve ever actually watched any sort of distillation process. The fact that this guy invited me to his lab just out of pure kindness and spent the day with me was more than I can ever say. When I left I gave him 20 bucks to buy pizza because he refused to take any sort of gift or compensation… he wouldn’t even take more then a small dab of the stuff he distilled for me…but mentioned he was getting his disability check and could buy pizza that day, so I was happy to do that. The very last thing he said to me when I left His house, he pressed his hands together and said always be kind. Rest in peace buddy

@cyclopath … me and him took like an 6 hour drive (8 for me lol) to help out the family of the legendary @Beaker after his passing. Our meeting mostly occurred because the future4200 crew were looking for someone to drive with cyclopath all the way out to wherever beakers brother lived a few hours away, and I, as a newbie here who was helped in so many ways, offered to make the drive. He was nice enough to just entertain my newbie questions and was an incredible fellow to learn from. Smart as fuck, a hell of a character. And his wife (and mother or mother in law? Sorry I don’t recall) were the sweetest women ever… talk about a fuckin mid day fresh fruit spread goin down, she hooked up a plate of All kinds of snacks. Wifey is killin it.

@Killa12345
He has overall just always been open to my questions and requests, he help me put together a killer set up for some thing I was working on. His business ways are impeccable, And overall he’s just someone that stands out as someone I’ve always seen ranting on here and was entertained or educated by. Thanks for the killer stainless contraption!

@qma
Was dope enough to school me on a super fresh cart gun setup that really helped me out… was cool enough to hold long talks with me, phone calls… just another cool ass dude that helped me a lot with no reason besides generosity

@Thetetraguy
This dude schooled me on etho extraction and a super great setup for my needs. Again, just another dude they spent wayyyyy more time with me than they had to, just so spread the love and knowledge.

@Future
For making this site, and the few times I’ve ever messaged him in regards to a book he may have posted about, or other various knowledge, he was always kind enough to shoot back a thorough dude. Solid guy and an inspiration.

@Demontrich
Helped me out a lot on the botany side of things. Walked me through some ugly trials and tribulations. Always there with a quick reply and advice. Another guy with time generously spent on my inquiries. Always appreciate it. I’m gonna make you proud!!

Plenty of other people have collectively educated, assisted, inspired and supported me through a lot of crazy endeavors of which have all been successful 100% because of their help, but I’m done suckin yall dicks for now.

Love!

I remember just being like “uh, any chance I can take you out for breakfast?” Lol. We met at a bagel shop and he then invited me to his home. I brought a small jar of crude with me and he sat there and showed me all kinds of gadgets and science stuff. I’m a dummy and was completely new to this as he just spent the day with me in the lab. What a great dude

Shit, this thread reminds me of the thread I posted in the Toking Lounge while pooping and rolling on some fantastic MDMA like 2 years ago. Great idea to post it on the general forum!

@MagisterChemist Thanks for tagging me in this! With how busy I’ve been lately I likely would have missed this gem entirely. You’ve been a great friend and helped me so damn much even before we met IRL. I’m always rooting for you, and Donnie and I are going to have to check out the xspiral up in Gunnison soon!

@cyclopath Don’t want to sound like a fanboy, but you’ve been one of my favorite characters on this forum since day one. All those helpful hints and Aussie charisma, I hope to be able to meet one day. You sound like a blast.

@tweedledew Always organizing some brainstorming and looking out for the good folks on the forum, you’re a fucking great dude man. Let me know if you ever end up coming down to NM for that hemp consult, I’d love to buy you a beer and shoot the shit.

@Roguelab Not only are you an amazing human being and invaluable member to this community, but I respect the fuck out of you for what you do across the pond. A cannabis cowboy with a heart of gold. I know we could probably never meet IRL for safety reasons, but I’m always rooting for you and hope you stay safe.

@squig We haven’t interacted personally much, but much love and respect for all the knowledge you’ve been dropping here the last few months. You sound like good people and I hope to have some real discourse with you once I start getting a bit more active on the forum again.

@Killa12345 You and @Demontrich helped me tremendously on my first shortpath distillation. I’ll be forever grateful for all the handholding through that, haha. Can’t wait till all this COVID bullshit is over and meetups start happening again, hope to see y’all around!

There’s quite a few more names I could mention here, but I think they know who they are. I’m really happy to find this post, I haven’t really been active much lately, but I’ve still been lurking here and there. I guess I’ve really just been trying to avoid the negativity of online interaction with everything that’s been going on in the world, but posts like this are encouraging to get me to at least show my face around here more frequently. If it wasn’t for this forum, I likely wouldn’t be in the position I’m in today, waking up every morning excited to get to work. Thanks guys. :v:t2:

I’ve already replied once, and I’m doing it again! There’s too many names to point out, and the reason is that most EVERYONE replies with a very eloquent and thought out replys to whatever the situation (or thread) is. I carry a sense a pride knowing that I’m a part of this community. It’s like someone said on another post about how we care about this place, and are protective of it. I’m pretty open about who I am in real life. The human I represent here is the same human that lives the day to day. (If that makes any sense.)
I came here seeking, and I am so happy that I have found some niche in this place. A virtual place, but I would love to meet ALL of you. I’m hoping to move to a 2 bedroom soon, and if I do I will leave an open invitation ANYONE that wants to come to Alaska. I’m not rich, or a baller, but I will offer 2 hots, and a cot. Winter is coming so you could hit Alyeska. Some people might think I’m crazy because this is a virtual place, and I’m blindly opening my door to any dusty traveler. BUT we’re all here for one thing, and that is the love of Mary Jane (and her cousin)!
Thanks @Future for conceiving this place. You crated a living breathing entity filled to the gills with people on their quest for the weed.
I almost instantly trust another weed smoker. It’s like meeting up with another Vet for me… There’s an instant bond because it is “still” illegal. You gotta keep it down low sometimes

I appreciate Future for making this site and everyone that helped grow this community into what it is now.

And to anyone that has and in the future replies to my questions/posts with the understanding that I am here to learn and know very little.

Based off of my research here so far… I’d like to thank @Roguelab and @Beaker for all their time spent typing… not everyone chooses to take the same path, but you 2 gentlemen are clearly a different breed. :green_heart: :alien:

In no particular order:

@Killa12345 - What is there to say that isn’t already known? He was the first person I ever personally reached out to on this forum just to buy some replacement hosing for a PX1 I was working on. Next thing you know, the whole CRC thread started and I was asking him questions every day until he one day said lets just hop on a phone call real quick. Next thing you know, dude was on the phone with me for damn near an hour (for him, I can only imagine how much money that is in his world!) but he walked me through a lot questions I had about the overall process and never once made me feel like a bother. He’s an amazing dude, wicked smart, and has a real good way at taking incredible nuanced processes and breaking them down to a real laymens perspective. His customer service through his business is only a reflection of his awesome character in my opinion, and its a bucket list to smoke one of those famous disty blunts with his ass!

@ExTek90 - This guy has easily been one of the greatest helps throughout this forum in terms of c02 extraction, distillation, and just overall good conversation. Both of us being 45 minutes away from each other in MI gives him every reason not to want to disclose much with me, but he does so anyways. He is truly a spirit of this forum that is always one of the first to come to mind when I have a question.

@Future - You are an inspiration and a straight up G. Starting this website and forum has single handeldly catapulted me into a realm I once dreamed of being apart of. I owe a large portion of my success to this forum being created and open sourced. Not only is it awe inspiring what this guy has created all before hitting 30, his personal IG is one of my favorites as well. Half the time im thinking he is one crazy bastard, but I’d be damned if I said he hasn’t opened my eyes to plenty of other things in this world besides how to make good hash and become a REAL extractor, and not just a knob turner.

@Sermac - Another long time lurker and limited poster such as myself, but he’s easily hands down the quickest best-friend I’ve ever made. From teaching me everything there is to moonshine, to inviting to his lab and home with open arms, you are easily a friend for life. Every time we got together, I knew it was gonna be a great one, even if it was just to smash some wings and whiskey. Can’t wait to get a reunion at one of the GLG meetups with you dawg!

I think one of the biggest losses of moving to a new state is the distance you put between yourself and the friends you’ve spent so much time bonding with. But thats what we got shit like Discord for now days!
