Where to get replacement parts for 2200W 2.2 kW China grain/isolate grinder?

Pics show what you need to see, Amazon has the replacement “milling disks” which are the textured pieces that bolt to the inside of the head, but not the stainless disk with the hex shaped center that goes on the hex shaft. Anybody in the US stock these or do I need to bug a bunch of sellers for parts on Alibaba?

Fabrication doesn’t look too difficult, but I’ve got no clue what it might cost to build locally.

Lost, got this with some other equipment and hoping to spend as little as possible to get it to saleable condition

Depending on the disk, they can be a little tricky to cut. I like to use an involute gear cutter and mount the disk on an indexing head or fourth axis. I have used tools like chamfer mills to make features such as this, but its not ideal, you end up breaking the tip off the tool because the SFM virtually goes to zero at the point. Because this part is used in grinding operation is is most likely hardened as well. To make this part I am guessing here at the dimensions cost looks something like this.

440c ss disk 6" diameter 2" length= $350.80 McMaster-Carr

lathe op 1: Face, turn O.D, drill I.D, ream or bore I.D to finish size. 60 min including setup time and measurement.

lathe op 2 : face back side to length, cut any backside features, and deburr. 30 min including setup and measurement.

lathe op 3: create a mandrel to hold the disk for the milling operations. 30 min including setup and fitment.

mill op 4: mount and square the indexing head, and set up index plate for required amount of divisions or set up fourth axis in cnc mill using the same squaring procedure. Next the part would be mounted on the mandrel in whatever device is being used to index the work. The tools would be then set up and either a program would need to be written to machine and index the part or the cut would be made manually across the work with the machines power feed. you need to repeat this indexing and cutting for every tooth on that plate. On a manual machine the grooves in the face may take 1.5 hours , a cnc mill may do it in 15 min or so depending on the cutter and the material. but it would take close to 30 min to set up if you were super fast, and another 30 min to program. for one off parts its usually not worth it, especially if the same machine is already making money doing a large run. so id guess if you were fast as hell you could complete the milling in 2 hr.

bare minimum time would be something like 4 hrs and that’s underquoted by far. typical job shop rates are something like $120 per hour, this makes one off parts costly.

At this point your in it for $830 and that’s just labor and material.

tooling cost has substantially increased because of china no longer wanting to export tungsten. it is close to 300% increase over that last year or so when supplies started to dry up.

tooling bare minimum for this job would be an insert for turning $35, reamer for I.D $120, and involute cutter $180. And that just the expensive stuff.

You might need to hit up a Chinese supplier honestly. You’d have to make a few hundred of these to get you part cost lower, not to mention you might have a heat treatment, and grinding operation afterword to ensure sharpness and flatness.

Honestly the teeth may be cast, it makes more sense to me to cheaply form that feature and make a hard brittle part at the same time.
