Originally I was using Buna gaskets from Garlock with regular tri clamp rings. I’ve upgraded to PTFE envelope with Epdm core gaskets with high pressure clamps. All 2 inches. My question is regarding how to apply torque to these gaskets because I can’t find what in-lb to use for these gaskets. After a brief search, on google and the forum, I found chart suggesting 20in-lb for Buna and 35 to 50 in-lb for the PTFE envelope. The clamps are rated to 100 in max. I feel like 20 in is too light off the cusp. But is that accurate? Should I be tightening the PTFE to 50 in? Or is it all about the pressure test?
I figured it out, Garlock’s sister company is RubberFab so I got the information I needed.

What temp and pressure ?
Here are the Temperature and Chemical Capability charts.
