I have several batches of bulk CO2 cannabis terps with nothing to do with them. Some are old and some are just too small of batches to warrant anything 20+ batches of under 100g. Anything I can use these for? I don’t want them to just sit and go to waste.
Mix and match different batches, on small scale at first, until you find a formulation of multiple that you like. Then scale up and make some delicious multi-strain carts
I second @PolyC on this. When we had too little of biomass to extract, we would combine like/familial strains: grape ape, mimosa, banana punch…… or similar terpene aroma: Solar Flare, Superglue, lemon skunk.
I wouldn’t try to do anything for infused edible products, pretty harsh on the tastebuds as well as the stomach.
Strain specific ?
Distillation on a small rig is an option
250 ml boiling flask and a pan with cooking oil on. A magnetic stirrer should give all the heat you need
What are good percentages to formulate co2 terpenes with distillate?
I currently use about 8% botanical terpenes
Oeefff sounds like a lot
The concentration of the terps is of importance then with co2 derived terps it spossible that the concentrate still has fats and waxes inside so MAYBE your
Terps only present 70% of the terpene concentrate that you are adding ( this is an example ) could be more than 70% or less
The cleanup of co2 terps is an art since you do not want to add heat
I would recomend a winterization in acetone and then add pentane before recovery of solvent under vacuum
Thus creating the azeotrope of acetone/n-pentane wich boils of at atmospheric pressure at 32C
How much pentane in relation to acetone?
I posted it somewhere let me check about 3 pentane to 1 acetone
