I got two hermies out of a round of 100 seeds
In-house and sungrown had no hermies
Red eyed genetics dog trap (uwxlocktite) had 2 hermies.

Ok so Iām considering doing a fairly in depth pheno hunt for keppers (heh) to put outside next season. Normally I run clones but am kind of tired of girls with no ambition. I am privy to seeds from a grow that had some unique circumstances which Iām hoping will provide some good stock to play with.
Because of an injury a friend was unable to care for his garden from mid Aug to late Sept. Nearly killed them. We ended up hitting them with a few magic teas and finished them middle of Nov-ish. The end product is pretty much as expected, although the trich density is impressive to say the least.
Because they were so close to dying they understandably hermed and most of the bud is quite seeded.
Would it be safe to say that an event like this would mean the progeny wouldnāt be likely to have herm traits? Additionally some of the seeds would be s1 and some f1 depending on if pollen made it to a separate plant?
These all looked like incredibly strong genetics with amazing nose/trich and a will to live that impressed me. Blue dream, mango/lime OG, Big bud, Jack herer, jaeger. Lol no trendy names but good bud is good bud. Want to run a few hundred in solo cups and see what sticks⦠Thoughts??.. I canāt decide if itās genius or crazy
No articles or anything to quote, but isnāt that kind of asking for trouble? Iāve read numerous places in the past that the nanners trait will be passed down. Maybe itās not a problem, but if it is, will that ruin your entire crop? I personally would hedge my bets if I were going to do something like that, maybe grow a second patch if possible with known genetics.
I know for some reason a batch that I was growing showed nanners once, then consistently afterwards. Never until then did the clones have that problem. But thatās clones, canāt say from personal experience about seeds though.
Nanners can indeed ruin a crop. If its viable pollen, yes. If infertile, nope. But I never risk it. If a strain I grow tosses a nanner, even when Iām slacking off and missing days, or genetics, it gets tossed in the bin adap!
Girl ONLY parties in my grow. I can sex new plants in 9-12 days. Balls get tossed. Wks 2.5 and wks 6 are prime times for inferior genetics to pop out (nanners).
Lots of tricks in the bag.
Edit, hunting thru my strawberries n cream pack. 12 seeds, 3 males, 3 FN hermied! 6 to pick a winner. I missed a nanner/hermie plant and it pollinated my entire OG gg4 room. Seeds galore. I popped 30 or so, germinated 99%, All hermied by week 3.
Heres my hyperglue x blue magoo, hyperglue x astro dawg, and sfv OG (repeating) Iām hunting this go.
Purple Lamborghini and hyperglue x rotten mayo in clone/veg on deck. 13 days from flip. Males are in the garbage.
Thatās why I think this might be a unique angle. They hermed in the most natural way possible, id almost expect any genetic to do the same thing. In my mind itās the opposite of āherms for no reason at week 6/7ā or that the father threw pollen early.
They definitely have the extreme will to live. Would consider stabilizing the keeper pheno through a couple of solo cup generations if worth it.
Edit: after sitting through slot of weed forum opinion I would say itās akin to rodelization I hope
Iāve got the sugar cane in my stock as well.
Thatās awesome, I am extremely stoked on the sugar cane! In house hasnāt let me down yet.
I grew some super silver blue magooās a few years ago, sample pack of 5 from dynasty genetics.
Literally dripping before I cut itā¦
Smelled like berry wine
Only ever seen 1 plant create sap balls, it was the coolest thing ever. It was the Chernobyl/ golden ticket/ slymer cut.
I remember eating a few right off the plant or while trimming, just pure sugar.
I just got some super good london poundcake and motor breath cuts im making moms with
I want that motor breath bad!
I use Build a Soilās v3 soil recipe. My soil is recycled and re amended each round. I top dress and do some feeding teas in bloom as needed.
I get different smells with every strain. But I can agree that I havenāt smelled anything super skunky in awhile. I still seem to get piney strains here and there.
@Demontrich I agree with your statement about terpinator.
I want freisland, and a good train wreck so bad⦠Merry Christmas yāallā¦
This is what scares me about going thru these packs. I ran a some waterād down fire lol for yrs because of this. Frosty AF, amazing bag appeal with a nose that was super uncommon but didnāt get you blazed enough or have a real taste. Every time Iāve gotten packs form stores they hermied.
I was just gifted some Mimosa, Banana Punch and Gorilla Bomb clones so now Iām on the fence as to how hard I wanna go hunting. Then again, I did just get in some Humboldt Seeds - Mango Sapphire and Bubbaās Gift that I am excited to see how they turn out.
Got this under my Christmas treeā¦
And also a good friend of mine Is sending to me all of the new untested realease for 2020ā¦
Really waiting for spring as we are Greenhouse teamā¦
I want to see how that candy store turns out
I Will try to post some grow log, hope to find a keeper
I would love some pure durbon posion seeds. They might be out there I have not looked. My assumption is they are not the pure strain from the OG. Its the only strain that put me where I needed to be back in the day.
Cherry pie (clone only)
Grand daddy purps x durban poison
Aboit as close as I have it
