What is in this liter? Ideas?

Exactly the guess’ im all for thats the point of chopping it up/posting. But to indiscriminately say his middlemanned product is indefinately fats and waxes is a pipe dream.

If we lived in a perfect world and everyone was ethical sure… but this seller claimed this to be botanically flavored disty for carts. And on that visual cue we can all agree even if it was somehow distilled aint no way any of us producers would pick it up/give it a stamp of approval…

Not everyone is ethical and to assume/tell the buyer who already got ripped off product could be something harmlessly filtered vs being something else is mindless. As stated in my original comment either could be correct, testing would be the only definitive.

Agreed its clear like water but much thicker. Kinda like disty around 175. Than again i didnt have the same isomer most were using.

When I mix distillate with ethanol it seems to get red really fast while in solution. Is this normal? I have been hesitant to attempt winterizing first pass due to this reaction but would save a bunch of time if I can get it dialed.

Dam bro, sick burn. You are taking things way too far.

Fuck. You know how I hate it when I have to agree with you…

You can do it after first pass, sure but you bake out and burn out waxes and fats that in some cases are harder to remove or don’t winterize out sometimes after first pass. It’s really not much of a effort to do it before.

I like to winterize, then do first pass, then do water wash and low bed column work after first pass, then refine second pass. Absolutely amazing results.

When I used to distill butane extracted oil, when I through it into ethanol 5 to 1(by the way I pour my first pass distillate somewhat hot into the ethanol and then throw it in the regular chest freeze for 2 or 3 days and it works just fine) after first pass and after running it through my filter stack for winterization it also turned very red but upon second distillation it was sick looking… I mean it looked fucking awesome.

I do things different than what most people do and it Works for me… And that was the point I was trying to make earlier. Just because “you” THINK “your” way is the best way and anyone else doing things differently is an idiot Doesn’t mean “you’re” right… We can actually take it a step further and say if it’s stupid but it works, it’s not stupid. (Although to be clear I’ll say it again with the way I work, what works for me best with my current SOP is to winterize after the first pass. You don’t know my SOP so you can’t knock it down. Especially considering the results I am CONSISTENTLY getting. At the end of the day the only thing that matters is results. Everything else is background noise.)

After my initial answer I remembered that I have to have some videos on one of my old devices and so I started looking and I found this for you from about 9 years ago. This first one is filtering what was first pass distillate being winterized through a Buckner funnel and yes I used the pressure cooker as the receiver for the Buckner funnel… Hey sometimes you got to do what you got to do😁

This next video is showing what it looks like after being pulled through the filter and as you can clearly see it is very red

This last video was taken the next day and shows the distillation of that specific product from the day before.
